I don't mind the INS treating me like a criminal just because I am visiting the USA. Well, all right, I do mind but haven't complained before. I mind terribly that the INS, which let in a lot of Arab terrorists, conferred citizenship on them, left their papers unchallenged, is acting like Hitler's brownshirts when dealing with this poor woman. Her husband is a bloody hero - I hope that the Freepers will share my sheer outrage and anger at this and that we can do something about this.

I live in AZ and local news covers the flood of illegals into the US all the time. If I recall...part of the Democratic election strategy is to encourage illegals to vote early (and often).

This poor woman must be viewed as a Conservative by the mindless bureaucrats and therefore not entitled to some slack.

I have had the same experience with the INS such as threats of deportation or barring my coming back in the US with my US wife and kids because I had been working for too long in Germany as a German. Let me have the pleasure to make an unPC remark: When I finaly got my citizenship recently, at the ceremony, there were a good 10% of muslims out of the 100 people, half of which were long bearded extremists. Had they deported me, I would have made a fuss. No, worse, they would have barred me entry to the US, but any nobody coming with a visit tourist visa would have been welcome and would have been able to violate their visa without any authority ever finding out. THe US is becoming notorious for harrassing people who do their homeworks and not looking for those who hide and never do it.

Normaly the INS allows people to get a lawyer and appeal those kinds of deportation of widows of dead US citizens. However most lawyers want a good relationship with the INS and keep a low profile with them. At my interview, it became so bad with my lawyer that I ended up defending my own lawyer from the aggressive INS agent that was screaming at her!!! Talk about a bunch of ball-less idiots that comprise 90% of the lawyers are out there, so much so their clients come in and defend them.

Needless to tell you I was pied off at my stupid lawyer. NEVER AGAIN! SHOP WELL FOR YOUR LAWYER, only 1 out of 10 is good.

I am stunned and shocked to hear about this.
I think you know that most "normal" citizens in the USA view England as our best friend.
And friends stick together.
This situation MUST be handled, no if's and's or but's.

If Mr. Bush is at all on the ball he will quote his father's comment on the communist coup attempt at the end of the USSR. "This shall not stand!"
