The President received reassurance from Mexican President Vincent Fox that he has the full support of the Mexican government. President Bush also outlined a plan for additional humanitarian aid for the 'poor souls' in Afghanistan. Understanding that the economy is a great concern to many Americans, the President also pledged to find more ways to stimulate the economy, possibly including more tax cuts. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

No, no....W's right - we don't want vengance (which is the Lord's) - we want justice. Justice = extraction and destruction of the perp(s) so that more people are not killed in buildings and planes and trains and buses, etc. Same principle as the death penalty in the case of murder - not for revenge, not for closure for victims, not for deterrence, not for any purpose but to see that people are not killed.

This is so unlike x42 who could bring on fake tears and lip biting at the drop of a hat. Every single solitary thing about this President is unlike X42!
We are talking about day/night, good/evil, real/fake, moral/amoral, clean/filthy, black/white, altruistic/narcissistic, pure/foul, etc. etc. etc.................

You are so right, President Bush is the complete opposite of his predecessor. They are night and day different. Thank goodness!
Why our country deserved a president such as we were lucky enough to get this time is beyond me after electing x42 twice. We have been given another chance.

I saw both speeches today, since I have Fox on my Direct TV and they follow President Bush all day long!! If you all don't have Fox News on your cable, get Direct TV!!! It is worth it just for the coverage of the President!
Both speeches were excellent. President Bush managed to make me feel patriotic about the LABOR DEPARTMENT!! How good is that!! Besides those 2 speeches and visits to those departments, he met with Vicente Foxand the Emir of Qatar! Busy, busy, busy!!
Thanks, rintense, you are truly doing a wonderful public service!!

Let me add to your list: fit/fat, handsome/repulsive, humble/conceited, generous/selfish, fathful/faithless, homest/dishonest, patriot/traitor.
There. I feel better.

As has been said over and over, the President's face is so expressive ..... he could almost be an impressionist like Rich Little (am I revealing my age here?) ....... in #9 he looks like Johnny Carson to me ...... as he has in some other pics.

To: All Bush Babes and Bucks!
I shared this story on another thread today but I wanted to share it with you Bush Babes and Bucks too.
I work at an elementary school and yesterday when I was doing yard duty, all of a sudden I heard something on the loud speakers and shushed those around me so I could hear the "announcement". Imagine my delight when I realized that they were broadcasting patriotic music! Many of the children stopped playing and congretated around the source of the music to hear it better and join in. America, The Star Spangled Banner, I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy, It's a Grand Old Flag and other songs were repeatedly played until the bell rang for the kids to go inside.
My first thought was that the upcoming war against terrorism had started but later I realized that these songs had been played because it seemed right, not because someone felt they had to!
Feelings of patriotism and love of country are on the rise!

I think it was George Will who said that Bill Clinton was such a convincing phoney that he could cry out of one eye. What a quote!

Oooohh, Miss Marple, I like all of those!!
How about adding married/politically allied, and MAN/weenie???

'Vengeance is mine, sayith the Lord...'
That may be so. But that doesn't mean I can't agree with Him a little more vehemently now, does it?

Surely that's not the same boo-boo he got while on his working vacation? But, it looks like he doesn't bite his nails, which is good. :)

I feel tremendously comforted by the fact that children still know the words to our national songs and hymns. I was worried about that before Sept. 11.
When I was in first grade, we sang the first verse of "My Country 'Tis of Thee" every morning. We've been singing it at church since Sept. 11 and I still haven't been able to get through it without crying.
God bless our children; they are so precious. Thank you for sharing that heart-warming story.
