Since so many on here are 'pairing off' into their own generational groups...and I cannot join any of them because I a member of the loathed GenX group, *I* am going to start a thread of my own, featuring MY website. JimRob, if this is not suitable for your site, I understand if you take it off, but I cannot help myself. The others are having just too much fun!
So, my fellow 80s children, what was your fav music/event/fashion/movie from the decade that featured the best darn President of the 20th century, Ronaldus Magnus????
You'll have to go to my website to see mine!! *wink* *wink*!! LOL

...my first computer was the Commodore Vic-20 -- made the C-64 look like a G4. I had been holding out for a Coleco ADAM... the teaser ads in the magazines looked *so* tantalying. Delivery was delayed, so I got impatient and bought a C-64, 1541 disk drive and monitor. When the ADAM finally arrived, I was relieved to see it was a dog - no buyer's remorse at all over the Commodore.
The C-64 was replaced by a C-128 and later an Amiga. Remember COMPUTE!'s Gazette magazine?

Ahh... Guns-n-Roses, Van Halen, Camaros, watching Scarface and daring each other to do a line every time Tony says "f@*k", a closet fulla black tee-shirts with Ozzy on 'em... Now with me, it was the B-52s, Devo, The Ramones, slam-dancing and not caring if you had bruises from doing so the next morning, ska music and pogoing til ya dropped and wearing stuff that was all torn up and weird colored.
We did strange things with our hair sometimes too and smoked stuff.
I still wonder what I'm going to do when I grow up.

Miami Vice, The Lost Boys, Duran Duran, "Dance Like an Egyptian"
According to the Bangles, the Egyptians did not dance . . . they walked, and we can walk like them too.

You got to see X and the Femmes? Lucky!
The only bands I consider a must-see are the Muffs and Sonic Youth. No matter when they come to town or what I'm doing . . . I am THERE.

You are so right. I was 17 - 18 years old and had a CR250R and CR500R. I felt like I could do anything on that light 250. Easy to break down and reassemble too. Sold them both at the same time in college for an engagement ring.

Hey does anyone still have their Swatches??? I'd love to find one....hate the watches that are out now...
Look no further!

I can't believe no one's mentioned my favorite '80s toys!
Stretch Armstrong was cool, for a guy with no discernible fingers or toes . . .
. . . but nothing could best my Shogun Warrior!

Oh, yeah, this is really what all us ladies need to start wearing again:
Thanks but no thanks. I'll keep my leather.
Also, y'all should know I've taken a vow never to let my hair become twice the size of my head.

OK...let's see, Tom Baker as Doctor Who, Star Blazers, Lawyers in Love and Twisted Sister (I Wanna Rock!!), Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and the Blues Brothers. My favorite political figures? Ronald Reagan (My first chance to vote in 1984) and Bill the Cat. Aaack-phttp-haaack!

. . . but nothing could best my Shogun Warrior! I used to have a trio of Shogun Warriors! They were tough but sadly none could withstand the awesome power of the sun when focused through a telescope.

Don't forget the ThunderCats!
Cheetara was a drop-dead hottie.
I've always had a thing for babes wearing spots.
