The problem with Rita Cosby was that her presence caused the maximum take-off weight of the plane to be exceeded. Though she does have a nice face.....odd voice. Linda Vester is a babe, though she can look like a Rutabaga at times. Ouch. I guess you never read the book on how to make friends and influence people....

It is an adiction! We'll have to start a 12 step program.

"I wonder why they even call it the "Rush Limbaugh Show". So far in 2001, I think guest hosts have been on more than Rush. I expect in another year, Rush quits politics and becomes one of those annoying, whispering TV Pro Golf announcers..." Blah blah blah wah wah wahhhhhh...when's the last time you even listened to Rush, you worm!?!
Toodle loo...MUD

What they didn't say is FOX news was asked to leave BEFORE the plane took off. Wait until you hear when CNN, ABC, NBC and SEE-BS were asked to leave...

I have no reason to disbelieve this report but, for the life of me, I cannot understand SECDEF going on a "diplomatic" junket at this time. He has plenty of under-secretaries he could send to get his word across if a face-to-face talk was required. Cheney did the same thing immediately prior to the Gulf War. Just like back then, some of our allies are getting cold feet and need a talking to, to build a little backbone. Drudge has post that the first attacks were cancelled at last minute because Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Uzbekistan had cold feet and told us we couldnt use their bases.

You're right, I was a little severe. I actually favor abundant women.
Rita Cosby is top-notch reporter.

So much for Powell's coalition routine. I knew the coalition was a going to be a farce. Reality Check: We don't need the coalition! Unleash our weed-whackers into Afghanistan soon.

Babe fer Babe, Fox has got the best-lookin' stable of reporterettes, IMHO...MUD I think NBC has the best crew on MSNBC and CNBC: Campbell Brown, Ainsly Banfield with the glasses who is now over in Pakistan. And the political reporterette, that Chris Matthews has on all the time with the long brown hair.

Could be a reason FOX isn't on the plane.
Maybe they're the only ones who won't swallow the disinformation from Rumsfeld...?

We have a local Phx reporterette with a pretty face who's literally the size of a well-fed linebacker. Since we only see her from the chest up on TV, it's a genuine shock seeing her in person occasionally. Her name is Janene Ford and hubby and I refer to her as Janeane Big-As-A-Ford. LOL!

Maybe they're the only ones who won't swallow the disinformation from Rumsfeld SOMETHING's going on....Congress adjourning early today to receive a classified briefing. I'm not sure how often that happens.

What facinates me is the steady stream of defections from MSNBC to FOX.
Brigitte Quinn, Patty Ann Browne, Linda Vester, Laurie Dhue, John Gibson, and now--surprisingly because I thought she was surely a lib--Diane Dimond. All formally with MSNBC. Terry Keenan came from CNN, or was it CNBC? Patty Ann Browne earned a Masters Degree, Summa Cum Laude, from the New York Institute of Technology in NY. (Check out the Fox Bios)
The question is what was the primary motivation for this exodus? Bucks, ideology, working environment?
Probably bucks.
Juan Williams is getting some solo air time.
He's doing a good job.
Linda Vester is probably the best of the defectors. Highly educated, devout catholic, recently married, BTW.
FoxNews' best reporter overall is Brit Hume, of course.
Jane Skinner fans: She'll be back, she just had twins.
Good riddance to Paula Zahn. The liberal Gestalt at CNN has probably revived her essential life forces.

"Cheney did the same thing immediately prior to the Gulf War. Just like back then, some of our allies are getting cold feet and need a talking to, to build a little backbone" I am well aware that Dick Cheney went to the area prior to the execution of Desert Storm but it occurred at a time when our forces were already positioned. It was more of a morale factor for our troops than anything else.
If it comes down to our so-called allies requiring a face-to-face pep talk by SECDEF personally, then I say "screw em' and the camels they rode in on". Let the Secretary of State play the role as diplomat and let SECDEF play the role of enforcer.
