I cant believe someone would be so sick as to poison our blood supply when we are on the verge of war unless that person had traitorous intentions. Ive got some rope around here somewhere...

If they get caught lying about their blood, they will find their sweet little posteriors in the State Pen. Won't that be big fun?

So verbal gay bashing is not that far off the mark? When these people demand special consideration we should remember for whom the request is made...liars and cheats who endanger the public welfare far more than 'homophob' hard hats.

Perhaps they should label blood from homo's, and only give it to them.

The could put it in pretty pink bags.

I think it unlikely that many in this self-defined group of narcissists would be inclined to do something as selfless and charitable as giving blood.

This is stupid. While I can't see why they need to ask one's educational attainment, I understand the need to ask about the types of sexual activity one engages in. No matter. This person, if HIV positive, will be flushed out in the blood test.

"The [Red Cross] rule is based on homophobic stereotypes. In this case I don't think it is unreasonable to ignore it."

Yeah, try telling that to the families of kids who have contracted AIDS and died because of blood transfusions; and there are many more than Ryan White! There are adults dealing with the results of transfusions back in the 80's before it was widely known that AIDS was transmitted by blood products. Most of those who received the tainted blood have died, but some are still fighting the disease.

This is disgusting that this man would even THINK about endangering his fellow human beings to make a political point! And the worst part is; young homosexual men are not even trying to have 'safe sex' anymore! They are looking for the thrill, going to the bath houses, having anonymous sex in clubs. You'd think the whole AIDS thing never happened!

Clifford Davidson and his followers need life-ending procedures performed before their irresponsiblity kills another innocent hemophiliac or other person who needs a transfusion.

People forget homosexuality was considered a part of abnormal psychology before it became a political movement. If they lie, they should suffer the full wrath of the law.

When I've given blood in the past, I had to remove one of two barcoded stickers from a sheet of paper and apply it to the bag. One of the stickers would mark the blood suitable for donation, while the other would not; while I didn't examine multiple stickers to determine if they were identical, there was no way for a casual observer to tell which sticker had been applied to the donated blood.

If someone who is at risk of HIV or other diseases, for whatever reason, wants to be seen as giving blood, I have no particular problem with them making the donation and then putting on the "do not use" sticker. On the other hand, I fail to see how it is infringing upon the rights of such a person to ask that they mark their 'donation' as do-not-use. After all, they have no expectation of benefit from the future use of their blood, so marking their blood "do not use" denies them nothing.
