[history]
Even by her usual incendiary standards, Ann Coulter's response to the terrorist attacks was something of a jaw-dropper.
"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity," the conservative commentator declared in her column on National Review Online.
Those words created an uproar at the Web site, which refused to run a follow-up piece in which Coulter singled out what she called "swarthy males." She promptly began bad-mouthing National Review, which responded by axing her as a contributing editor.

I thought Ann's statement was good and gutsy. It had a great kick-ass edge. As I've read Jonah's recent column about the Bill Maher flap, he feels torn. Can't decide whether Maher should be fired or not. Hmmmm, I wonder if he's thinking of replacing Coulter with Maher at National Review.
Who's words do you suppose our troops would rather have as they are marching off to Afghanistan? Coulter's or Maher's?

National Review, that's the main Republican ragmag headed by W.F Buckley is it not? Well the left wing of the Republican party has just fired the first shot in the war that will tear apart the GOP if they continue to alienate the right. What is wrong with the truth? Here is some truth, the citizens of America are at war, the govt is wobbling. The citizens of America are ready to sacrifice and win, the govt is studying. Gen Shelton resigned today, any link to our weak response to an attack?

Well, no one ever accused Jolly Jonah of being especially tolerant of those with whose views he demurs to even a single degree. Remember - all it takes is for him to pout even once and Mommie Dearest bans the miscreants' Websites from having their material posted as threads on hers.

Christian bashing is not OK (I'm one).
Christian bigot bashing is very OK. In fact its a moral obligation.
To: Conservative til I die
Some Christain folk of FR would gladly try it (kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity)Yeah -- Bible in one hand and nuclear device in the other, right?
You are one delusional patient. Please don't forget your medication.

"After 45 years, I'm done with NR." After many years, I'm giving that consideration myself.

How could you seriously equate NR with the liberal ring of the republican party?
To: JeanS
Let's see, if I had to choose between Ann's columns and Johnah's...I would take Ann's columns any day, every day. I have heard her on TV and read her articles. Coulter always has a great sense of humor. For instance, she is right is asking how many blond women hijack planes, so why go through her luggage? It's the wrong solution. I would not have written exactly what Coulter wrote, but I applaud her style, humor, and courage.
I view NR as the most conservative liberal publication I receive. Not as bad as Newsweak. So I expect little of NR.

Damn, I want to be with Ann Coulter, tonight. That's my want EVERY night.
To: Ann Coulter
GO ANN!
Leave the NR girly-men behind, and good riddance.
To: JeanS
I am with Ann. Enough PC language. This war is a Crusade and we call it Infinite Justice.
Goodnite all. I will be praying that the Washington wimps finally let it fly.

Can I sugest you prove your Claim?
To: BoomerBob
I am suggesting that NR has given us nearly 60 years of sound conservative thought LOL!...Right.
National Review and "The Standard" are cut from the same cloth, liberal rags written by checked pants, country club Republicans looking down and talking through their noses.
But that's just my opinion.
To: Plummz
Describe the specifics of "conquering Africa" and I'll discuss the differences in the Coulter firing.
