This celebration of suicide bombers at one of the largest universities on the West Bank should alarm us. The display is intended to encourage youths to join up and sacrifice themselves in the glorious cause.
It will probably be not all that long a journey for some young zealot from stepping on an American flag to carrying out a suicide bombing against an American target.

Isreal should be given a blank check to get rid of those scum, starting with Arafat. And if a certain New York Senator decides ot open her mealy mouth, we need to circulate pics of her hugging Arafats wife along with celbrating Palestinians.

"

These people are NOT suicide bombers.
They are homocidal bombers who are willing to lose their lives during their atrocities.

News media is targetted for death for reporting the TRUTH about PLO EXTREMISTS?!?!
bump. This situation is pretty bad. The bad guys can lie and deceive and our own media is cowed into silence.

Whether in politics, religion or personal life issues, truth is viewed as a threat by those with an agenda that can be interfered with by telling the truth. Thus the tendancy to 'kill the messenger.' Ignoring the truth, supressing it or not liking the truth in no way diminishes our responsibility to it or for it. For those of us who prize truth, this all makes sense. To those who would rather the world not know what is going on, we are all a threat. So, keep up the good work ya'll.. make 'em feel the heat LOL.

Political correctness has always been about suppressing uncomfortable truths. Now it is aiming toward suppressing facts that Americans really cannot live without knowing. Although I recognize the function of the media as a dispenser of propaganda and misinformation during times of war, and I deplore the so-called "right to know" which journalists use as an excuse to report every detail they may stumble upon without regard to whether or not it could put us/our troops in harms way, Americans must have the truth at this most critical time. This is not a time for "politically correct" commentary.
Yeah, I know... *sigh*... but if a pony shows up on my front porch, it's mine!

Ah, yes, another pro-Israeli trying to get us to fight Israel's wars for them. Here's a clue: The terrorists that hit the U.S. on 9/11 were primarily from Egypt and UAE. They were NOT PLO.
Oh, I'm not so naive to think that the PLO guys won't have it in for the U.S., but if you pro-Israelis who are too cowardly to go THERE and fight for your REAL country--preferring to stay here where it's safe--think you're going to get us to fight YOUR battles, you got another think coming.

The Sbarro display was the most disturbing piece of "agitprop art" I've ever seen. It was a culmination of the evil mindset of the pro-Hamas cretins in that University influenced by the jaded, morally denunded mentality of Euro-American postmodernists who would have paraded this atrocity in some sleazy East Village arts space.
The fact this horror was not "newsworthy" enough is not surprising. Oftentimes, these things tend to provide a mirror to those who wish to censor.

A lot of liberals just don't know it yet.
Their ratings and circulation will clue them in.
Death to PC!.

I think that there is something going on in relation to political correct ness in our news organizations that led to the suppression - for that is the only word that will do - of this story.
I believe that, because the United States and news organizations are coming down hard on bin Laden, the Taliban and other extremist Muslims, editors in these organizations feel it would be overkill to make a big deal out of this dangerous display. The most disheartening part of this is that our government is complicit in this.
I sense that it, too, wants to withold images and stories of what Muslims today are really doing and saying to maintain the fiction that this is not a religious war and that most Muslims are innocents...
Makes me want to barf.
Thank you to the Freepers who manage to finds those items that keep at least some of the Americans informed and current.

* Directed to step on an American flag; * Shown a celebratory re-enactment of the Sbarro suicide bombing in Jerusalem that killed 15 people; * Asked to pay tribute to leaders of Hamas, one of the world's most notorious terror groups; * Arafat and his terrorists should be right up there on America's top five terrorist groups to be destroyed.

Here's a clue: The terrorists that hit the U.S. on 9/11 were primarily from Egypt and UAE. They were NOT PLO. Here is a more meaninful and significant clue.
The level of celebration in the "palestinian" territories was no less universal had they done the deed themselves, diectly if they could.
That they knew it was coming is beyond doubt, as far as I'm concerned.
Thousands celebrating "spontaneously"?
Give me a royal break.

When people have grown up on lies which are part of the construct of their faith, nothing is more of a threat than information which contradicts those lies. Most of those people, thanks to the likes of Arafat and others, have grown up hating and Isreal and America for reason that have no factual base. To believe anything else would be a psychological trauma of the greatest magnitude. The kind of thing that puts people in mental hospitals because they can't reconcile the cognitive dissonance. Their reality fractures.
"Fanatacism means redoubling your effort after you have forgotten your aim." - I've forgotten who said that, but it applies to most of the middle east today.

Americans must have the truth at this most critical time.Ah, but there is the rub. Our media has been tacitly behind the Palestinian movement for the past 20 years. They have slanted against Isreal and towrads the PLO. Reporting the truth now, especially in this instance, would be an admission that all those journalistic efforts were a waste of time and mental energy. Worse yet, it would reveal just how wrong they were. That they really are a bunch of ignorant dupes and idiots at large.
Unlike the author, I don't believe that the suppression of this article has anything to do with not wanting to pile on the poor palestinians (or it is only a small part of the reason). It is a lame attempt to preserve their own credibility by keeping the truth under wraps. They are doing, in their own way, the same thing that the PLO did by erasing the tape and threatening the press.

As an 11 year Army Veteran, I was on the front lines of the Cold War, ready to fight for Democracy, against totalitarianism, wherever that fight might be. Isreal is a democracy. Her neighbors are totalitarian.
I was in the Third Infantry Division in Germany during the bad 'ol days, and in the 101st Airborne. When and where did you serve? Or are you just another arm-chair general?

Notice how Americans don't go to Palestinain universities? They come over here because they know we are far superior to them. Their universities are a joke.
We don't go over there for an education and I don't want them here.
