BTW: Italians are superior to PASTY FACED BRITS IN EVERYTHING!!! Italy is now the fifth wealthiest country in Europe, ahead of the HAS BEEN UK. Italy has better food, friendlier people and prettier women. I just felt I needed to point that out to the SLAVISH ANGLOPHILES on this site.

Seriously, Burlusconi sure stepped in it, but he's right! If the media would just take a step back and really HEAR what he said. In a political sense, Christian civilization (and especially American) HAS prospered because of the freedom of its citizens.
The Arabs were some of the most brilliant peoples of the first millenium, but when they tried to destroy Western Civilization, and Christianity, and were roundly defeated, they never recovered their former glory. And a major reason Islamic countries HAVE NOT progressed since the Middle Ages is that they reverted back to the 'desert days' and kept their people close and poor.
All this ya ya about everything being America's fault is just horse hockey! Those theocracies and monarchies have kept their OWN people down, they didn't need our help, and we shouldn't be blamed today for their plight.
