Since September 11, theres been a common refrain among the Kumbaya Left: "We have to try to understand what made these people so angry." Um, no, actually we dont. continue

Great article .... tell the "Kumbaya left" (love that label) to get a brain and try using it before they put their lips in motion.

I say we take 'em all out while we still have firepower superiority.

Excellent article that probably represents the feelings that the vast majority of Americans share toward those pitiful peaceniks.

Throughout history there have been many religious wars. Muslims have been preaching the need for wars against the infidels for all of their history.
The Saudi King tells Bush and Powell he must be careful in helping us too much. He fears that if he helps us too much his people will overthrow him.
Arafat tried to surpress the coverage of the celebrations of his followers at the news of our deaths. He surpresed the coverage.. not the celebration. The Egyption government talks of its need to not arouse its Militant Muslims against the Eqyptian Government. Syria and Iraq make no pretense about their hatred of our culture.
All Muslims believe that the destruction of the infidel is to the glory of Allah.
If we treat this problem as a problem of rogue leaders, we will be in big trouble. Leaders can only lead where followers will go. The Arab leaders on our side have lots of trouble containing their followers. Arab leaders that preach a holy war on us are aclaimed.
We do not have a leader problem. We have a follower problem

The wisdom of the writer is beyond compare.
One asks questions like who, what, where and why in order to solve or define a problem. One needs to ask these questions in order to find a lasting solution to a problem. For example, if one is overweight: who: I am the problem, I am fat; what: I am overweight if I stay this way I could die; Why: I eat too much and I don't exercise. Do you know understand the process? You ask questions in order to find solutions.
The question why is of prime importance, if we are going to find a lasting solution and not just another mess on the merry-go-round of American foreign policy. The question why is not question of weak-kneed peaceniks but of dedicated American patriots who see the errors and immoralities of our policies and who have served this country in her military.
Many of you are so anxious to send someone else to fight these battles but you are not willing to do it yourself. So bloodthirsty, but without the stomach to do the killing yourself. You know that sounds like a good politician, sort of Clintonesque.

We do need to try to understand the sociopathic torturers and murderers. They are the ones in our govt and industry and medical community that planned, sponsored, implemented, and funded the illegal, immoral, and lethal medical experiments with plutonium on unsuspecting American pregnant women, unsuspecting children, and some informed groups. Why would we not want to know and understand the psychology of these federal officials, MD's and corporate executives who engaged in these medical experiments? ***************************************************************And then there is the series of germ and chemical warfare experiments implemented on unsuspecting Americans. Why did these federal officials do this? Let us understand them. To advocate killing them all is the equivalent of advocating revolution. That is both inappropriate and illegal.

Jamie Glazov is an idiot. Even if we kill Ben Ladin...there are a hundred more to take his place. Consider Israel. There are counties in my state bigger than Israel, and they have been fighting Palestinian terrorism within it's borders for 50 years (with US technology). This person thinks the US can eradicate a global terror network? Give me a break.

I disagree. The Carthaginians were no threat to Rome after the Punic Wars. There were no slave uprisings after Spartacus was defeated. The Confederacy was deal a severe blow that the South has never forgotten during Sherman's march to the Sea. I believe that it is the Muslim world that must understand us. They have a fundamental misunderstanding of the West and the US in particular. They view our giving them the oil fields as weakness that they can exploit. They would never have done that as they believe that every area that Muslims conquered is forever Muslim land, like Israel which they conquered from the Byzantine Empire.

"Brainwashed." Let's substitute "propagandized" for "brainwashed." Now for the questions. Who is more propagandized by its own government, Americans or Europeans, Australians, Kiwis, and Canadians? Question No. 2. Who is more delusional in terms of the bizarre religious beliefs they have, Moslems or Christians? Question No.3. Who has the more aggressive history of attack, torture, murder: Christians or Moslems? We can omit Buddhists, Hindus, and most other religions from this consideration because they have little or no history of brutality.

One final question: "I think that is a very hard choice but the price - we think the price is worth it." ******************************************************** Who was it who said that in response to Leslie Stahl's question on 60 Minutes, "We have heard that half a million children have died [because of sanctions against Iraq]. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And - you know, is the price worth it?"*************************************Further question: Who does "we" refer to?

I agree entirely with this article. I could care less at this point as to what made these people so angry. I would've been willing to discuss any foreign policy issue with them prior to 9/11/01. Since then, I feel we have no need to do so.
