OH! I just remembered. I talked to Grant this weekend and he said he enjoyed the window seat. Thank You! :)

They saw people hurt and fires as they walked down the stair. Lots of smoke. They said the walk down was remarkably orderly, very little panic. Once downstairs there were rescue workers directing human traffic. I think that's why so many got out.

I think I'm going to have to spend the weekend hunting for a house to move into....
Here's a link to the thread about the
Austin freep

Well, first off, the clothes,
No Grannie, I was talking about enhancements to the image. From an image editing perspective.
Although I MUST say, ANYBODY who has walked through those concrete canyons can tell you that the wind SINGS through there. Plus, at 100+ floors up, I am sure the wind is howling on the observation deck too.
In W-S, when I worked downtown, even their piddly 25-30 floor buildings generate a wind chill that used to have (puny) business people wearing overcoats in fall and spring, on the way into work. And that would be on days where the forecast was 50/75....

I do digital photography too, and it just hit me all wrong.
How?? Please be specific...

Let me look at it again... I agree with Val tho about the artifacts... loaded with them...

Rant on tk.....
Not many will try to make trouble, I don't think there's enough of them for this yet. Besides most of them are pretty wimpy.
There are a few who are serious Nazi wierdos. So watch yer back.
Wish you well....I won't be upset if you deck one or two...:-)....

Ratty,
the clincher is that this picture would be the entire cover of the Enquirer, and someone would be millions richer if this were a genuine photo.

Have a good freep but please be careful. These aren't the same gorbot's that you came up against before. The people you will be facing think that Gore was a conservative threat to America. this is a post from the austin freep thread.

I agree with Val tho about the artifacts
The only compression artifacts that I noticed were in the solid color of the imposter's coat. A solid color like that is often munged using the 'Still Picture Interchange File Format' (SPIFF) compression algorithm.

If you look at it enlarged you can notice the difference in the pixels more.. The guy is clear and the land mass is real pixalated, and so is the plane.
I also believe it is looking south to the end of the island.. the sun is coming in from the right and high..
Other than that, old great one.. I'm lost at this point.. Guess you'll have to leave the rest to a woman's intuition... lol
To: ValerieUSA
Oh, good. Score one for Mom's team. :)

Well, I'm ready for Phil Donahue's idiot rant to end....*whew*
He thinks it is so wonderful that the United States has the sympathy of the world now, like never before in his memory. In other words, "Isn't it a lovely peaceful world now that we are victims, too?" He's impressed with all of the flowers and candles in honor of the WTC attack victims. sheeeeeeesh! I suppose if Elton John sings a song about the blondes who blew in the wind after holes opened up on the 80th floor everything will be settled in Phil's puny brain. Talk about no substance.

Isn't that to be expected since he is in focus, and the plane is approaching or beyond the "infinity point??"
So which was pasted in... the background, or the guy, or the plane??
Swervant, I am only asking about the discrepancies as pertains to the technical creation of the graphic, rather than any contextual clues.

I don't see any new kids... Where are they?
