[history]
What a difference 10 months make. Last November I broke the unwritten rule that requires journalists to be neutral political observers when I got embroiled in the controversy over the presidential election and publicly supported Al Gore.
It was not just with friends that I passionately argued the election had been stolen and that Mr. Gore would be the better president. I was one of the signatories to the pompously titled "Emergency Committee of Concerned Citizens 2000," which took full-page ads in the New York Times demanding a revote in Palm Beach County, Fla. I wrote op-eds for Salon.com and the New York Daily News. On television talk shows from MSNBC to Fox News's popular "The O'Reilly Factor," I made the case for Mr. Gore. In thousands of e-mails, I urged voters to deluge Clay Roberts, director of Florida's Division of Elections, with appeals for a recount.

"Your responses are so "cool." You have a sureness and calmness in your posts - just as President Bush's speech. :-) I like your handle too."
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Hey, I KNOW Calpublican, and I can assure you that she's fundamentally, and completely, insane. One of her more benign mental problems is that she makes everyone who calls on the phone talk to her dog - the minimum you can get away with is saying Hi.
Its all down hill from there.

Must be my judgment is slipping in my old age. Or more likely, it's that I have the same illness as she. My phone # is 345.6789. You'll like my dog. He talks in Whole sentences. ;-)

Your #134, makes me want to go back and watch the debate tapes (wish I had them) again ... I always had to hit MUTE when *LG*R* was on (trying to avoid using the profane here hehe), but some of the body language displayed by the two men was very telling. I loved it when G*R* was lunging around the platform and W was behind him making funny, "What's he doing?" faces.

At any rate Mr. Jefferson, I thank you You just joined a small but impressive group. :-)
Kudos for folks with our views are pretty slim in these parts.
Maybe we'll get some of these infidels and constitutional illiterates straightened out one of these days (one can only hope and try).
I'd hate to be hanging from my neck while we wait. Regards

David Schippers prosecuted Clinton after having voted for him twice. He was absolutely amazed when confronted with the level of criminality.

They are just as avalable as pictures of bin Laden flying one of the planes into the Trade Center. You have ZERO credibility on this forum after that remark.

I assume you have misinterpreted my comment. I was asked for "quots" by Bush asking that our freedoms be outlawed. Bush did not order, just as bin Laden did not fly the errorist planes. However, the followers of both know what their leader wants and are the tools of their desires. Bush's officials who are predicting the need for limiting freedoms and the terrorist flying the planes.
Anyone who doesn't want to see the splinter in his own government's eye is the one lacking credibility.

My question to Gerald Posner. Were you really partisan enough to overlook the blatant unprecidented corruption in favor of a right wing conspiracy excuse? Those who turned thier heads on the disgraces of Clinton/Gore have facilitated the administration's sins. There were far too many "more than questionable" circumstances surrounding these treasonous bastards. My prayers have literally began to be answered in the uncovering of the Clinton years, hopefully the bloated filth will continue to surface, and in the process a duck can finally be called a duck.

This is from last year, but I thought that in these days where W is taking a lot of hits from the pundits, this was just good for the soul to read.

It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong, and to the whole world no less.
