I'm afraid - please don't remove this post

Posted on 09/24/2001 11:11:46 AM PDT by Scythian

I am a Christian but I am still afraid, especially for my young children. I know that it is difficult to find the US in biblical prophecy, especially in the end times. Could it be that we simply don't exist? I fear that is the answer.

Maybe the beast that rises out of the sea in revelation is not the UN but Terrorism, different from the others beasts is it not? There is no way the US can protect itself from biological, chemical or nuclear weapons, we haven't the will to fight political correctness and evict our enemies.

As terrible as this sounds, I'm afraid, I mean really afraid, it's effecting my ability to concentrate and work. Forgive me for posting this.

If you read your Bible closely, you'll see that we will not know when the world will end until it is here. If Christ would not reveal the exact time to His apostles, none of us are going to be able to predict it.

Actually, if you read the bible and not just say you did, you will see that Jesus stated that only the day and hour we will not know, but the season will be quite clear. So here are some very clear examples:

Read Matthews 21:20-32. You will see that the generation that saw the taking back of Jerusalem will not leave the earth until Jesus comes back. This indicates before the end of 2007- and it is looking more accurate with each passing year, too.

Read the book of Daniel. You will see that the Roman Empire is the only empire that needed to come back into existance prior to Jesus coming back, and that occured back about a decade ago in the EU (and their architects bragged about it too).

Read the book of Daniel, and you will see that Iraq must rule over Israel for another three and one half years still.

Israel returned to nationhood, and the two thousand years have elapsed, now we are at the edge of Jesus returning.

Look in Genesis regarding Jacob working seven years for a wife, being deceived, then working another seven years for the wife he originally wanted. Then draw the parallels for the seven year peace plan, the fact that it was a deception, then the next seven year peace plan which will be the peace they seek- the book of Daniel states this second seven year plan will be the tribulation period, and that the second half of it will be the great tribulation.

I can go on and on, but you get my point.

Why are you fearful? How strong is your faith? I am not afraid or depressed, just angry. I believe in Yahshua Messiah without reservation. Fear feeds upon itself like a cancer. If you show or tell your children you are fearful, then they will follow suit and lose all hope.

Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel

Feast Day September 29

Saint Michael the Archangel

defend us in our day of battle;

protect us against the deceit

and wickedness of the devil.

May God rebuke him, we

humbly pray.

And you, O prince of the

heavenly host, by the power of

God banish into hell Satan and

all of the evil spirits who roam

through the world seeking the

ruin of souls. Amen

Get the picture of Saint Michael stomping on the devil and remember good will prevail over evil. His feast day is this Friday.

Revelations was written at a time when people understood the symbology to mean the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire is gone, Christians are not.

As any serious historian will tell you, we are living in the safest of times.

Are you serious? This is the most dangerous of times, where we are able to kill millions in a single flash! Get a grip, pal. And Jesus said that these are going to be the times of such devistation that it will be worse than ever before, unequalled to any time in the past or in the future, never to be as bad as it will get. EVER.

Be certain we are in the worse of times.

But we are also in the most exciting of times- All the events are screaming JESUS IS COMING SOON!!!

Let me make this perfectly clear. I was talking to my wife about the EBomb that could set us back into the horse and buggy age- only there won't be any horse or buggies for us, so we will all be without transporation. (You know, the bomb that crackles in the distance, but everything on the grid gets fried- no more TV, radio, lights, cars, na na!) And I was telling her, we don't have a right to think we should remain in the hi tech age. We may have to resort to stones and sticks at the river's edge to wash our close. She was getting upset. Then I said, BUT we are living in the most exciting times, because we will not die- we will get our new bodies and taken off this earth when Jesus comes back for us!!!

Colossians 2:18

Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind

Come again about a feast of angel?

Plus, we can always look at the bright side of things...

Got this in my "Health Tips" in my mail today. This will soothe the soul..

TESTS FOR BIOLOGICAL WARFARE AGENTS Headache, muscle pain and appetite loss are classic flu symptoms. They are also markers of biological warfare agents such as Anthrax, Q-fever, Staph enterotoxin B and other deadly pathogens. To quickly identify these dangerous pathogens, Cepheid of Sunnyvale, Calif., has developed DNA-testing technology. An early prototype is to be ready for testing by the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases by the end of the year. The battery-operated device is about the size of a breadbox. Cepheid is collaborating with Environmental Technologies Group of Baltimore, Md., in the development of bio-agent detection systems for military and other domestic preparedness applications, said Tom Gutshall, Cepheid co-founder, chief executive officer and chair.

Afraid?

Perhaps this bit of wisdom may help:

"Our times are in his hand
Who saith, 'A whole I planned,
Youth shows but half; trust God: see all, nor be afraid!'”(Robert Browning)

Teach your children well, with love and confidence.

If you claim as your own the teachings of "the Christ," and display anxiety and fear in your life and actions, then you dispute the very doctrine you claim.

Stop having an intellectual relationship with Christianity. Absorb its teachings into your very being, and you will feel peace and confidence in the midst of the most threatening circumstance.

Remember, "Our times are in His hand Who saith, 'A whole I planned.... Trust God....'"

By the very act of its creation, life has purpose and meaning. "Fear not!"

We will LIVE by faith in Jesus Christ. It will be so neat to see him face to face. I also study Bible prophecy, I am 99% sure my interpretation is correct. What gives me comfort though is that nothing can snatch us from God's hand.

I know that it is difficult to find the US in biblical prophecy, especially in the end times. Could it be that we simply don't exist? I fear that is the answer.

Alternate explanation: the current batch of Biblical prophecy aficionados are completely off base.

If you have received Jesus Christ as your Saviour, there's nothing to fear.

The fate of the United States is foretold in Bible prophecy, in great detail. The Rapture is closely connected with the fate of America. You can read about these things here.

As for your young children, you'll find answers about that in "Notes on the Rapture" at the same site.

And if you are not sure you are saved, you'll find information on how to get saved on the site as well.

I hope this will assist you in finding the answers and comfort you are seeking.

For every parallel you draw, I can cite a similar parallel from a preterist like R.C. Sproul (whom I personally disagree with) who demonstrates that these events came to pass 2000 years ago.

This is nothing but pure speculation on your part, your mind looking at current events and discerning the patterns you want to find.

We are much better served by living each day as if it were our last in the sight of the Lord rather than trying to anticipate Armageddon in every headline.

What religion/race/nation/ etc. IS drunk with the blood of the saints? HMMM? What religion considers Christians worthy of DEATH? HMMMM? What nation has BLESSED ISRAEL more than ALL others and thus is NOT cursed...(hint...it is isn't Islam!)

I believe Mystery Babylon (in Revelation) who is drunk with the blood of the Saints is the culmination (in the Tribulation time) of all the world's false religions. It is headed by the False Prophet, who is the cohort of the Antichrist (at the time).

This is not in place at this present time. I believe the Rapture, where all the world's Christians are removed from the scene -- will be the key part to putting everything into motion.

However, even so, things can (and are) "moving into position" at the present time, so that the world's "infrastructure" and "national alignments" can be properly organized (by God's will) to "facilitate" all that -- when the Christians are taken out of this world by Christ. Then things will move quickly.

Right now, it's all just "pre-positioning".

And, don't forget that the beast out of the sea is the last world kingdom (as described in the Bible), with the beast out of the land (being the Antichrist) -- and who becomes an "eighth" from the "seventh". He, himself, becomes a world kingdom -- in that he is total dictator over all the world. This is where he sets himself up (as the abomination of desolation) in the sanctuary in Jerusalem, and declares himself to be God.

This immediately precipitates God's wrath upon the earth. This is why people in Jerusalem are told to immediately get out of town and not to even go back into their houses. It's during this following time that God finally "expends all His wrath" which has been stored up from the beginning of the human race in the Garden of Eden. At the end of the Tribulation time, God's wrath (which has been stored up) is fully released and none is left.

We're only seeing the beginning signs and glimpses of what is yet to come. The players are not all here yet and everyone is not "pre-positioned" yet. But, it's coming soon.

We're getting our warnings to be ready and to "look up" for the Lord is coming quickly.

Clinton is like the leopard in that he never changed his spots. The bear is The Soviet Union, where Clinton spent some of the Viet Nam War. The lion is Israel, which Clinton mesmerized, stole their election, and almost forced to suicide. The dragon is China whose blood money kept Clinton in power and allowed him to corrupt the earth, starting here first.

This is total "garbage prophecy". It's so "whacked" that it doesn't fit anything that the Bible says.

It's something like "pop prophecy" from "newspaper headlines" and a dose of "political persuasion".

Try really reading and studying what the Bible says about these things. The Bible defines who the dragon is (for one thing) -- in pretty clear and in exact terms -- that you choose to ignore. And you're ignoring the rest of what the Bible says about these things, too.

The fate of the United States is foretold in Bible prophecy, in great detail. The Rapture is closely connected with the fate of America. You can read about these things here.

What you described here, as America being the Babylon as described in Jeremiah is simply false. It's about Babylon of Jeremiah's time. It's specifically related to a piece of land over there. It's so tightly related to that land over there (where Israel was taken captive), that Jeremiah instructs someone to go to that land (which existed *at that time*) and read what he had written.

This is not about America.

However, there is another spot where America appears to be in Scripture. It's simply not the Babylon where Nebuchadnezzar was king and where Israel was taken captive (as Jeremiah describes).

However, in regards to the Rapture..., I would agree that it will have a profound effect upon America and the ones who are "left behind". It's at that time that many things in the world will quickly come together under the rule of the Antichrist (including America). But, America is not Babylon.
