As long as the Homeland Defense people and the security agencies leave ordinary, law-abiding citizens alone, and don't start pretending that people praying on the sidewalks in front of abortion clinics are "terrorists," there won't be any trouble.

It sounds like Stratfor/SPLC are hinting how the new agency should proceed. Ignore the terrorists that have oozed into the country all these years. It's the overweight white guys with their too-obedient wives, and kids, at the weekend target-shoot/cookout that are America's true enemy.

Mesage from Stratfor to Homeland Defense: be sure to ignore all them weird folks at Elohim City, just like all the other feds did, too.

There is some real horse manure in this piece -- Such as listening to those Southern Law Center Schmucks -- but the point is the real deal.

Indeed, the sickest ironies, the most insidious evils that have come, and will continue to come, from the raghead attacks on U.S.A. is that:

a) more people will now die at the hand of federal alphabet soup terrorists such as the DEA, FBI and BATF and
b) possibly more people will die in attacks from those prepared to give their life for the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Solving the threat of attack from domestic sources is QED -- Quite Easily Done -- Return to the Rule of Law under the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Presto. No more threat from Billy Joe and Ida Mae out in Stickville.

Of course, then we'd have even more threat from the Gore/Nader voter types that so like to burn ski lodges and smash out windows at starbucks.....

Oh well. Such is life in a lawless land with dumbed down soccer moms that lead the political winds even whilst they look for little Johnny's ritalin and the next Klinton to fellate.

Fewer restrictions on law enforcement agents and the creation of a new federal office may be necessary steps to protect the United States from foreign terrorists. But powerful bureaucracies and narrowed civil liberties are exactly the sort of triggers that set off militia groups.

They got that right. And it should get all freedom loving patriots steamed.

We are likely to see a resurgence of militia group activity just at the time that law enforcement agencies are retasking themselves to counter foreign threats. Even if law enforcement agents continue to infiltrate militia groups, it is much more difficult to monitor and prevent activity from individuals. As militia ranks fill, it is not unlikely to expect some of them to resort to the same kind of armed activity as Timothy McVeigh and Ted Kaczynski did in the past.

I am not familiar with this website, but they seem to take the typical liberal media bias of trotting out the specters of McVeigh, who was expelled from the Militia group he was associated with, and Kaczynski who was never was a Militia member and was in fact an Eco-terrorist (a person totally opposed to personal freedom).

I have come to the conclusion that stratfor.com is a leftist disinformation propaganda machine. It might be interesting to find out who all these "analysts" are. I think these are the people who put out half-truths and rumors designed to elicit a particular reaction. We need to look at actual proposed legislation to see if these characters aren't spinning.

With the direction the world is headed, we must have strong militias in all the states of the union.

All states do have militias. The members just have to wake up and realize that they are.

Government officials are sufficiency aware of the basic maxim of rule: people can exist without a government but a government can't exist without people. They can't overcome it but they can block it by keeping people divided among themselves.

A people divided really have no militia.

"If someone is so fearful that they are going to start using their weapons to protect their rights, it makes me very nervous that these people have weapons at all." ~~California Representative Henry Waxman

That is a superb quote. Any chance of getting a source where Waxman was quoted as saying it?

The original Homeland Defense = The Second Amendment and armed citizens.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought slack CIA/FBI intelligence of foreign nationals in this country, and terroristic enforment of usurped "laws" by the FBI/ATF against citizens of this country, to be, at least, partly responsible for the more recent domestic terrorism. I would suggest the FBI/ATF/CIA secret police spend more time watching foreign nationals entering our nation and less time watching the natural born citizens of our nation. You might also consider enforcing the laws made pursuant to the Constitution of the United States, rather than the zillion or so "laws" created via usurpation. That will destroy the so-called militia movement instantly without a shot being fired, and will demonstrate that you, the enforcers, are also good citizens (just as instantly). While you are at it, expel all who currently hold visa's (and those in our nation illegally), and tell them to resubmit applications for visas. That will give us a fresh start on the true war on terrorism.

God Bless America

ZOG is a term used by anti-Semites. It means "Zionist Occupation Government."

Stratfor is usually a pretty good source for international issues but they sure missed the landing pad on this one.

This is the second of those in a week. It reminds me of Science News, which in the space of a few weeks went from being a really neat little magazine that covered breaking news in every branch of science, to a screaming environmental junk-science rag. It's as if Gramsci's Legions have arrived to assimilate yet another institution and turn it into a mouthpiece for the Left.

Militia does not equal domestic terrorists. My line of thinking is we're gonna find out this will be a real good time to have the militias around.
