Hockey fans at Philadelphia's Rangers-Flyers game Thursday night were so enthralled with President Bush's speech that they actually forced the cancellation of the game's third period to continue watching on the arena's Jumbotron.
But seated in the House chamber, New York Senator Hillary Clinton was rolling her eyes, looking bored and remained seated as her colleagues gave Bush one standing ovation after another.
Friday morning her disengaged demeanor was being roundly panned by talk radio hosts everywhere.
"You know why she reacted that way," WABC's Curtis Sliwa told his partner Ron Kuby."She just saw her hopes to run for president next time around go up in smoke."
Down radio dial in New York, nationally syndicated talker Don Imus was even harder on the former first lady.
"She was disgraceful," Imus told his partner Charles McCord. "She looked irritable, rolling her eyes and talking."
Imus didn't care much for Sen. Clinton's post speech comments either. "I mean, she was going out of her way to point out how she'd spent the entire week down at ground zero, which is not true, by the way. But I think we know what that's all about."
Imus then turned his ire towards Mrs. Clinton's husband. "I just thank God that he's not still the president, that's all, because we didn't have to endure the self aggrandizing display of lip-biting and head wagging and 'I love you' to some bimbo in the balcony."
I have to say another thing as well, and I'm a competent woman who wants to empower all women to see that they have no limits, but I must admit I have not minded having a man in that Oval office this past couple of weeks. I know Margaret Thatcher was awesome, had stones of her own, etc. but for some reason I like a man in front of the cameras right now saying "we are going to kick your asses"....
"Only in your dreams, Clinton [x42], only in your dreams!"
What we witnessed was an outstanding show of support for President Bush, his cabinet and the people of the United States.
Clinton NEVER got that kind of support! And I think Hillary was definitely PO'd.
The fact that there were 30 or 31 times when President Bush received standing applause and support just poured vinegar on the smarting wounds or x42 and Hillary.
You reap what you sow, Hillary!!

She was on CNN this morning (I was channel surfing; and yes, I'm loyal to FOX) w/Paula Zahn - I suppose trying to rehab herself once again. Paula oohed and ahhed over her and Bill - Paula squealed "I've been trying to get your husband to talk to me about his thoughts on this but he doesn't return my calls." HIldebeast said she'd let Billy the Bad know Paula was calling (yeah, right). It was a sickening interview & I had to turn it off.
Barbara Olson was so right about Hildebeast.

Yep. I saw his fat ass. It's hard to clap and be enthusiastic when you weigh 500 pounds. Plus he's an avowed socialist. He and Charles Rangel are both members of the Democratic Socialists of America. All of the anti-Americans on the list were the ones who were the least enthusiastic last night.
The real question is what did Chuckie Shumer ask her?
Ahem! SOME women may put her in the White House. Please don't lump us all together.
Yes, it was priceless! He looked at her, but did not shake her hand as he made his way into the chamber.

In a national emergency:
Substance trumps personality even in the liberal media. She is only one of one hundred senators not the media darling who has been trumpeted by them as a future queen in waiting.
Her record is vehemently anti-police, anti-military, and anti-secret service.
She is pro FALN which not a group to be associated with in these times.
Although the media has not brought it up, Bin Laden's attacks must be linked to Clinton's failed war on terrorism which was no more than a ruse to divert attention from his Monica problem.
Schumer has moved toward the Bush Administration. Whether he did this because it is the right thing to do or he did it for politics. He must know that Giulani and Pataki have distinguished themselves as leaders and either one would be a formidable candidate for his seat.
All in all, she is slowly twisting in the wind and showing much worse for the wear.
