Awesome.
The meanest fans in sports (they booed Santa) get my respect.

Red Wings Bump! (There are times when the nation needs us to move beyond any petty hatred for the Flyers and their fans)

This is CLASSIC! Have you ever heard of a game stopping in the middle of it because the fans demanded to hear the president? And then they canceled the game after and gave W. a standing ovation! Unbelievable.

And I'll bump my Kings, who lost two scouts in the tragedy.

Hockey fans in Philadelphia demand to listen to speech If the Flyers fans demanded this, you know this is BIG TIME. Philly fans are the rudest MF'ers in this country.

The Flyers and their fans have now assumed the top spot on the list of patriotic hockey teams, just above the New Jersey Devils.
In case anyone doesn't remember, the Devils were invited to the White House by the Clinton administration after they won the Stanley Cup in 1995. I think only five of them showed up.

Philly fans are the rudest MF'ers in this country. That may be true of Philadelphia fans in general, but the lowest spot in the food chain is firmly occupied by fans of the NY Jets. If you don't believe me, consider that 95% of the regulations the NFL has adopted regarding beer sales and rowdy fan behavior were put in place in response to incidents at Jets games.

Well, I am impressed! In fact, speechless. That's quite a feat.

Nothing so spectacular, but I was at a restaurant with my wife after the evening workout
and the TVs were tuned to the speech.
The entire restaurant broke out into applause at the end. Parents even muzzled their rugrats.
It was one of those good moments.

...meanwhile, Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill dropped their sticks and gloves and began duking it out in the corners before they could be separated by the Supreme Court Justices.
Rep Barbara Lee (D-CA) reportedly lost her one remaining tooth in the melee...

There might be A Gathering Storm, but as in the past, America will rise to fight it. The proof was right there in the hockey arena.
