You missed my post # 74 where I said: Of course we can't say too much of Israel doing it, when our own people did as much, Clinton, Hanson, corporations, etc, etc. Misspelled Hanson, should be Hanssen, I think.

"India wants us to hit their enemies! Israel wants us to hit their enemies! How much are we being manipulated?" RIGHT ON!!!!. The Mossad has the best Human Intel on the Arabs and Islam and terror in the world. I think it possible that the Mossad, if not the Israeli Gov't, had intel about this attack and allowed it go forward,in the knowledge of the anger that would emanate from the USA. There's little, if any, way they could be discovered, and if they were accused, defenders would crawl on glass to deny the charges. Israel knows that we can crush enemies she cannot even approach. Would they sacrifice innocent lives? Remember the U.S.S. Liberty!!!!

When it comes to what Clinton's administration gave to China, I agree, as I already stated in post #74.

I don't consider your report from Asia Times to be too authoritative.

Oh, so AIPAC owns the Asian Times too, eh? Do you have another source that disagrees?

How is it that the Israeli lobby is so successful in playing both sides of the fence here in the U.S.? American Jews who overwhelmingly prefer Israel's interests over those of the U.S. tend to be liberal Democrats bordering on socialist. Yet Israel apparently enjoys broad support among well-known conservatives especially of the "religious right" persuasion.

You asked a question and answered it in the next question. Israel has broad support among people who are not Jewish. It is not all the work of the Israel lobby.

Look to the media's influence on people.

Doesn't it seem strange to you that the massacre of upwards of nine million Ukrainians in the Artificial Famine of 1932-3 is basically unkown, in the U.S.? I saw the Diary of Anne Frank movie in around 1959, the nuns of our school had Anne Frank's father there to speak to us. From that point till now, I probably hear of the holocaust twice a month. Admittedly it is heinous beyond belief. But no less so is the intentional starvation of 1/4th of a nation! Why did I never hear of this event in history, through all the years of a U.S. education, through graduate school, and forty years of movies and T.V. shows, while still in the states?

Would it surprise you to know the New York Times squelched it, the reporter, Duranty lied about it. Times has never retracted.

It is not so completely unknown, not to mention Stalin's other crimes. Or Mao's. Neither is the Armenian holocaust. Or the holocaust of the Serbs by the Croats in WW II (1.2 million). Or the genocide Indonesia committed against East Timor. These are unknown only by those who rely solely upon what the public schools taught them and, if we did teach it, they wouldn't care anyway.

Many of these events are well-known here at FR, if not in the general population.

YEP. And Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Stalin, Che, etc etc. Some people take "never forget" very VERY VERY seriously...

repost from yesterday

I am just about sick of the self appointed thread nannies.

I, like, I'll wager 99% of Freepers do NOT spend hours at the keys, as a thread nanny must.

I was glad that this was in the "latest posts" so I could read what I missed yesterday, as I went about a real life.

Trite but true to you Thread Nannies

Get a life.

Does anyone else find it extraordinary that US intelligence services and LE agencies were able to provide great detail on the perpetrators of these horrific crimes within, literally, hours?

Now there are persistent reports of early warnings, and other evidence that the US was warned/aware, and no mention was given to the public. I don't wish to impune the integrity of our law enforcement,(they do that well enough on their own) but this really makes me curious. I hope that this does not turn to outrage if US citizens find out that there was some kind of coverup or other intentional delay is the disemination of such vital information.

do you have that gagship of commie gossip "Mother Jones" bookmarked, or do you have a lifetime subscription

NO, I just did a search of Israel weapons technology transfer China and came up with 4,000 hits, I didn't find the one I was searching for, but this came pretty close. I know it was Mother Jones, mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa!

Regardless of the source, it's a fact the U.S. has built up Israel's military and Israel has sold and/or wishes to sell sensitive technology to our enemies. Of course Clinton has done the same, as has some corporations in the U.S. I also detest this!

Yes the "commies" have an evil history, but after learning of the Ukrinian incident and posting it here, I never here people like you condemn it. Why?

Perhaps Mark Twain can help to answer: "...there are some natures which never grow large enough to speak out and say a bad act ia a bad act , until they have inquired into the politics or the nationality of the man who did it."

Why do do certain groups continually display the pain done to them, but refuse to talk about or admit the pain their own people caused to others? You know I'm referring to the collaboration with the communists in the 1930's: Lazar Kaganovitch, welcoming of "commies" to Poland, long before the beginning of the holocaust, etc, etc.

Why do I almost never see anyone of the rabid "kill all Palestinians" group accept some responsibility for their own groups past actions?

These are unknown only by those who rely solely upon what the public schools taught them and, if we did teach it, they wouldn't care anyway.

But that is my point. It graphically, glaringly, illustrates the myopic view of our education and media. We grew up thinking that America was an open free society, with free access to all information. A spirit of open search for the truth. But there is a blinder on one eye! Or should we say a mote in both eyes.

When I started seeing the "kill all Palestinian" posts here, months ago, I felt it was only the people with close connections and affection for Israel speaking from their emotion and rage. Ideally I'd like to se a few of them admit that some Jews did some horrendous things in the years prior to the second world war. I'd like to see hollywood do a movie on the Ukrainian incident, maybe a movie on Gertrude Bell and the days of Britain dividing up the middle east.

At least I'd like to see other Americans, not so close to this conflict, admit our media is quite lacking in balanced information about peoples of the middle east. I'd like them to be more well informed. Then they can make better decisions about what is in America's best interest and not be so influenced by people who have a dual loyalty problem.
