It is not always easy or fun sitting at a computer for hours and hours monitoring these threads. Everyone person here is a VOLUNTEER. As a matter of fact, we pay to do this. We spend days and weeks helping to keep FreeRepublic running.

Ask yourself these questions:

Where is the first place I go to get my news?
Am I getting any benefit from FreeRepublic?
Am I learning from FreeRepublic?

FreeRepublic is not free. It costs Jim Robinson tens of thousands of dollars to keep this forum running. There are over 60,000 registered users on FreeRepublic and only 1,000 help keep this forum running regularly. Those who do not have the ability to donate money could help by stopping by and giving a bump. Those who who do have the means and have not contributed, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You are a FReeploader.

We do not want to see this forum dead, therefore, we are asking that you help keep FreeRepublic running.

If everyone who registered donated one measly dollar a month, we would never have to have a fundraiser again.

Just a thought, I have been donating to Free Republic by a monthly debit for quite awhile. I cancelled my socialistic/liberal-leaning newspaper and switched the price of the paper to a Free Republic donation. I get much more for my money. I get more information, quicker reporting, and an open, honest discussion of the events. Plus, I get a sense of accomplishment that I helped keep this wonderful site working.

That's a great sentiment - how about sticking it on the bottom of the first post you make in a new thread, with a link back to one of the fundraising threads??????

If we all do something like that, WIMom won't have so much work to do!!!!

Thank you for that - I put in the same folder as the pic of the President petting one of the rescue dogs.

I was so sad when I heard this morning that they lost one of the dogs to heat exhaustion. Those dogs are as much heroes as the men and women who are working in these nightmares.
