"Black"
(To be sung to Pearl Jam's "Black")
Ah-aiiggghhh...yeh...yeah!!
Sleepy shady campsite...lovely FReepin' day...
Tanned legs spread out before me...sun-drenched body shined wet.
Lo...beauty from the Heavens...I revolve around her Sun. [MUD's Earth to Jewel's Sun]
Her warm scent I gasped, then I breathed...girl's makin' me burn!!
Ooooohh...o'er and o'er, I told the girl..."Kids can dream!!"
O'er and o'er, Jewel begged of MUD, "Love me, boy."
But MUD's gotta better half...with whom MUD lays down...
GOODBYE...my FRagile flame...girl, Lib'ralism's DEAD!!
Nation, washed with blood...LIES the Leftist's shame...
I'll take the watch tonite...Left's surrounded by TYRANTS and HATE!!
I just hear Slick's laughter...Bill lies to hisself.
Ohhhh...all Left's twisted thoughts I sing...SlixMYbitch!!
I'm spinnin'...ohhhh, MUD's grinnin'...=^D
God Bless my bitten land...must kick Righteous A$$...
Fer what Left did to me!!
Ohhh...Left's B!+(# is bad...Medyuh watched and fled...
SLAUGHTERED everything...
Ohhh...the Left's ALL BAD...turned MUD's world to black...
Spitooned on all I see...all that I am...all I'll BE-EE-EE-EE...yeah!!
Un hunh...un hunh...woo...
I know someday, Jewel'll make a beautiful wife...
I know she'll be MY star...
But somebody else's gotta show the spine!! It's TIME!! SHINE!! Justice be thine...
How can it be?! It can't be...it shan't be!!
Doo dah doo doo doodie doo...
Doo dah doo doo doodie doo...

Doo dah doo doo doodie doo...
Mudboy Slim and the Centaurs (9/18/01)...one week A.T.
I love that story. Too bad our nation has departed so far from the principles contained in it.
I'd really like to see the Sheeple have the same reaction to those Congressmen and Senators who voted to hold the EX-Rapist-in-Chief blameless for committing Perjury and Obstructing Justice!! Let's give the CongressCritters a chance to partially redeem themselves with the Re-Impeachment of Slick Willie!!

I have to admit, I didn't know the melodies, because I don't know a number of the songs you referenced. "Black" by Pearl Jam ... uh, no, Eddie Vedder slept with a girlfriend of mine when she moved to Seattle in '89. Jewel ... I think I bought one of her CDs, but I just looked at her picture on the "Jewel Case" cover and thought "the picture's good enough."
Regardless, I read the lyrics and they stand up for themselves. I pretended I was attending a Jim Morrison lyric reading at a cafe in Greenwich Village. It's good stuff, it's a lot of work, and I admire your gift of crafting prose.
Now ... onto the important stuff. Monday night. The frozen tundra of Lambeau field. 37-0. Don't make me repeat that score young man. I tried to get online all weekend to fashion a little wager with you on the Pack-Skins game, but that DNS ugliness prevented my trash talking. I was only going to give you a chincy 7 points, so you may have told me to pound sand anyway. By the way, I hope you took my advice and grabbed Ahman Green and Bubba Franks in your fantasy league.
Best Regards MUD!
Naw, my FRiend...see post #167 in which I said, "Big game tonight, though, right Arne?! What did we decide was our wager on this game? And I don't want no points 'cuz we're gonna whup yer CheeseHead Butts Fair and Square!! Also need either Stephen Davis or the Packers D to score a TD to win my FFL game...NO FReepin' from 9-12 EST!!"
So, what was our bet? I'll pay up...I feel I must pay penance for that mockery last night. And don't think I'm not hearin' it from my co-workers...LOL!! My boss's boss is a big Cowboys fan and he's loving this season despite their being 0-2 as well. DamLib'ral!!
Mark my words, though, Arne...the Skins'll make the playoffs this year and win the Super Bowl next year. Schottenheimer's gonna get a clue and start letting George throw the ball down the field, Stephen Davis already looks VERY, VERY GOOD, and the defense will move Lang from DT to fill in at Coleman's DE position and fill in the DT spot with some Immovable Object weighing 315+ and we'll sneak up on some folks. The pieces are all there...all we're missing is the Righteous Spirit!!
"By the way, I hope you took my advice and grabbed Ahman Green and Bubba Franks in your fantasy league."
Believe me, in my league, those guys were no sleepers...both got snatched before I got a good shot at them. We've got Stephen Davis (WAS), Emmitt Smith (DAL), Ron Dayne (NYG), Terrell Davis (DEN), James Allen (CHI), and Jamal Lewis (BAL) at RB, though, so we'll be alright. Greise's our QB...with Randy Moss, Chris Carter, Orande Gadsden and Eddie Kennison at WR. TE's are Byron Chamberlin (MIN) and Ken Dilger (BAL)...Kicker's Jason Elam!! We're 1-1 and poised to SLAUGHTER the rest of the league this Fall...LOL!!

BTW...thanks for the kind words. The "coffee shop" concept is exactly how I look at it.
Dubyuh will not allow the National ID Card concept to transpire. When an idea is allegedly "floated" by "an unnamed source high within the Bush Administration," BE WARY OF THE VAST, LEFTWING MEDYUH WHORE'D's dastardly spin!!
Kinda rainy and gloomy herein Richmond, but it's s'posed ta clear up 'bout noon...MUD
You really believe that, my FRiend?! You ever tried any sort of drug?
If not, how are you so sure?
If so, how come the Evil Spirits didn't git you, thereby allowing yer Righteous Self to escape Satan's clutches and save the rest of us Sinners?

Well, since you _invited_ me into the thread...
Dead Stoner In the Middle of the RoadMark W.
(with apologies to Loudon Wainwright III)
Crossing the highway late last night
He should have look left and he should have looked right
He didn't see that station wagon car
The stoner got squashed, well, there you are
You got your dead stoner in the middle of the road
Dead stoner in the middle of the road
Dead stoner in the middle of the road
And he's stinkin' to high heaven.
Take a wiff on me that ain't no rose
Roll up your window and hold your nose
You don't have to look and you don't have to see
'Cause you can feel it in your olfactory
You got your dead stoner in the middle of the road
Dead stoner in the middle of the road
Dead stoner in the middle of the road
And he's stinkin' to high heaven.
You got your dead cat
And you got your dead dog
On a moon light night you got your dead toad frog
You got your dead rabbit and your dead racoon
The blood and the guts are gonna make you swoon
You got your dead stoner in the middle of the road
Dead stoner in the middle of the road
Dead stoner in the middle of the road
And he's stinkin' to high heaven.
Come on, stink...
"The stoner got squashed, well, there you are..."
Sooooo...yer Ultimate Goal is to save these so-called "stoners" from being squashed by a car or truck, right? Righteous man you are, sir, worryin' about all them folks who could be ruinin' their lives with the Evil Ganja...do you feel the same compassion for users of the MUCH MORE DANGEROUS DRUG of Beer? You could easily substitute the word "drunkard" for "stoner"...would that song work in yer political lexicon just as well?
And what if these "stoners" promise to smoke only within their own home...Squash Problem fixed, right?!
BTW...I believe I posted a coupla questions fer ya...would you be so kind as to address them?
Righteous Regards...MUD
BTW...are you wishing me physical harm with this comment, Mr. W.? If so, that could be considered "Abuse."
Please answer carefully...MUD

Liberty or death, what we so proudly hail
once you provoke her, rattling of her tail
never begins it, never, but once engaged...
never surrenders, showing the fangs of rage
don't tread on me
so be it
threaten no more
to secure peace is to prepare for war
so be it
settle the score
touch me again for the words that you'll hear evermore...
don't tread on me
love it or live it, she with the deadly bite
quick is the blue tongue, forked as lighting strike
shining with brightness, always on surveillance
the eyes, they never close, emblem of vigilance
don't tread on me
so be it
threaten no more
to secure peace is to prepare for war
so be it
settle the score
touch me again for the words that you'll hear evermore...

You guys are going nowhere until you get rid of Jeff George. He brings his losing ways to every team he touches -- he's like some sort of hex curse. If you want, I can recommend a good exorcist for you. =)
And no, we're not going to give you Quincy Carter or Anthony Wright for that loser. =P
Thanks fer stopping by and please visit my thread again, mi amigo...MUD

Wiser Football Men than You or I have expressed similar sentiments, my self-described liberal FRiend. Still, I'm not convinced Jeff George is the problem...Jeff's done what Schottzie instructed him to do...dink passes...nuthin' but friggin' dink passes!!! Sorta reminds me of Limbaugh...yes, RUSH...YOU!!!
Mr. Limbaugh, O Wise One...why do you keep that "One Hand Tied Behind Yer Back"?!!!
"And no, we're not going to give you Quincy Carter or Anthony Wright for that loser. =P"
Hey man, if George don't git it done, I'm psyched to GIT PSYCHED about that Cowboy Cast-Off, Doug Williams, Jr.!! Skins are gonna surprise folks, I tell ya!!
