Dave Christian - National Advisor on Defense Issues just stated that during a meeting in 1995 with the intelligence agencies (CIA, FBI, etc...) while they were discussing potential smuggling of nuclear weapons, submarines, etc... a CIA section chief told the group that their new directive was to stop video piracy - this was their new top priority. They were told to forget about terrorism! He also stated that many of the agents were very upset and this was directed by the people in power in 1995!

My thoughts on this are the same as my thoughts on the Lewinsky affair: When it became apparent, on the evening of August 18, 1998, that Bill Clinton had lied to the nation, where were the Joint Chiefs of Staff? Why, to a man, did none of them resign? How could they have continued to serve such a commander in chief? In the case of the CIA, why did none of our agents resign, as a matter of principle, and begin making the rounds of the talk show circuit, so as to inform the nation of what was happening to the CIA?

I'll tell you why: because these worms cared more about their precious pensions than about the security of their country.
