All essays are considered from vanity posts or replies to other posts. The criteria is that it has to be written by a Freeper and posted on Free Republic. If you have written something that you want to be considered give me a headsup and I will do my best to read it and it will be considered.
My apologies to those Freepers who have written masterpieces that just got missed by me and a few scouts that are ever watchful for the essay that is special and expressed well.
Anyone can be a Freeper Scout. All you have to do when you run across that special post is send me the thread number and send it to me by email: RJayne@zoomtown.com or leave me a message on the thread.

As one who never says anything of note, I just want to take this opportunity to thank you for chronicling all the wonderful writing that goes on here at FR.

What a tough week this one was. Thanks for the encouragement. I've had some essays make me laugh or smile or tearup, but I've never had one make me cry like this week.

This weeks winners are fantastic. Thanks for marking them so on your site. To me it is sad that we even had this type of writing to nominate this week.

I "reply" a lot here, but I don't post many threads myself. It's been a long time since I have.........until this past week. I posted three, and I'm honored to see that you acknowledged two of them. Thank you.

I had the same thoughts, but I also wanted to demonstate that we are listening and comforting each other in this small way.
