I hope the people who have ridiculed his speaking abilities are feeling pretty stupid right now.

Did anyone see this on TV. I would love to get feedback. The two ultra-liberals of Boston talk radio, Margery Eagan and Jim Braude, were effusive in praising Bush, and were practically in tears regarding the beauty of the service.
I heard the sung "Our Father," military choir singing "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," and some of the sermons. It was absolutely beautiful.
I missed Bush's speech because I went into a local church to pray. I had to go into the lower church because the upper church prayer service was overflowing. It's a very large church and the people were packed in like sardines. So much so that they were literally falling back through the front doors.

I saw it and it was great. But I would rather call it an Address to the Nation (a 'speech' sounds too political). I hope he ponders well and arrives at the best solution for America's survival in this century. I pray his decison keeps America an example and a beacon for the world to emulate. May we continue as One Nation, Under God, with Liberty and Justice for All. God Bless America.

Yes, I saw it. He was graceful yet commanding. I cried. There is no doubt in my mind that the right man is leading our country- President George W. Bush.

Yes, I saw it on TV and it was WONDERFUL. A masterful Prayer delivered in a Humble, sincere and loving manner.
Our Commander In Chief was at his Best during these most terrible times!

It was awesome. Delivered as it reads, with sincerity. With resolve. I was moved to tears as well.
I am so proud to have GWB for a President. He is not perfect, I do not agree with him on every point. But I am mighty proud, and grateful.
I know, now, with great clarity, how lucky we were last December.

I watched the ceremony, mgist. Bush's speech was perfect - he seems always to know the right things to say and how to say them, without acting a part, unlike the impeached one. What he says comes from his heart, and when he shows emotion, that too comes from his heart. He's a good man, and sincere, and strong. I can't believe anyone who doesn't have confidence in his abilities.

It was fine, human, honest, and deep.

Not surprisingly, Bush couched the whole war against terrorism in religious language, answering the Jihad with a Crusade. Although ridding the world of evil might be too tall an order for even an angry America, the intent is clear and the meaning well taken. Acts of terrorism are intrinsically evil, an evil which can and must be stopped, the perpetrators and their organizations expunged. Not withstanding that Bush is no Churchillian orator, he knows what must be done, he knows his mind and speaks it clearly. From everything I have seen and heard from the majority of Administration officals appearing on TV, Bush, in addition to his own unquestioned gifts, has surrounded himself with strong, intelligent and competent people, the hallmark of a good leader. I hope and pray that the success of this enterprise may be shrouded in glory and honor in the gruelling years ahead. It has been too long since the world has seen a free people moved to accomplish a task so singularly worthy of their mettle.

He was particularly stirring and forcefull. I had tears running down my face all through his speech. It was wonderful.
As they exited the church with the bells tolling all that came to my mind was "Ask not for whom the bells toll, they toll for thee".

Listened to part on radio, saw second part on TV.
Was very touching service, included Jew, Christian, Muslim, Catholic clergy.
Plus all military service branches and band.
How wonderful to have a man of faith, instead of one that uses only the words.
God Bless America

I saw him deliver it on television. His words were on the mark. He spoke slowly and deliberately, but not hesitantly. It was very powerful. It was obvious that a good part of the audience was as moved as I was.
I watched the whole service and am glad I did.

I saw it, and when he finished, my first reaction was to think, "AMERICA... we have a PRESIDENT!"

I watched the entire service this morning. I also saw Bush crying during one of the hymns. It was very well done. (Unlike the service here in Seattle which stunk to high heavens, I would like to add.)
