DON'T CALL MY PRESIDENT A WIMP!
I thought about a lot of titles for this editorial, but this one sent to me by to Ron C. fits what I am about to say!
During the hours following the terrorist attack on the United States of America and even today, some freepers have joined with members of the media in either outright calling the President a "wimp" or inferring he is one. And they haven't stopped there -- he has been thoroughly trashed on here by some folks, attacked by Larry Klayman, and that doesn't even take into account the likes of Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, and Tim Russert to name a few of the press that want clinton back!
I am here to tell those folks that I have had it! Whether you like it or not President George W. Bush is the President of the United States of America and thus our Commander-in-Chief. Your continual trashing of this honorable man because you think you are being funny or any other reason is giving aid and comfort to the enemies of this country. I find all of the derogatory comments that somehow he was a "wimp" for not coming back to D.C. immediately or other names he has been called despicable.
This morning when the post from Newsmax about an interview with Karl Rove was put up, a freeper referred to it as spin. I am here to tell everyone that Karl Rove does not spin -- he tells it like it is. The White House is not releasing the full details of the threat. That wasn't good enough for some of you so you are now joining the White House press corps in their snide remarks and stupid questions of wanting to know everything about the threat and frankly it is "NONE OF OUR BUSINESS!"
You arm chair quarterbacks like to criticize, but how would you like to be 30,000 feet in the air knowing you are a flying target, look out on each wing to see F-16's flying with Air Force One, and know you cannot return immediately to D.C. to your home and your wife because your safety is the most important thing to this Country. Well that is what happened to President Bush! A real threat, not imagined, was given and the USSS took over. They wanted Pres Bush to stay at Omaha overnight but he overruled them and returned at his own risk to D.C. which sure doesn't sound like a wimp to me! You can talk pretty big when you are not the one in danger with a bullseye on your chest!
President Bush is a fighter pilot who went through the same training to fly fighter planes that every Air Force pilot goes through whether you are Regular, Reserve or ANG. No wimp completes that training. Everytime you take off in a fighter, you never know what could go wrong and you may not come back alive! I have a lot of friends in the Air Force who fly and they all to a person have tremendous respect for this Commander-in-Chief which is something that seems to be lacking on here by some folks!
This editorial isn't about his policy on some domestic issue that you may disagree with, this is about supporting our Commander-in-Chief, President George W. Bush, in a time of war which is exactly what we are facing. We have been attacked and yet here on this site, in some of the news media, and by Judicial Watch, our President is being attacked because some don't like him, some don't like his domestic policies, some want clinton back, and some just want to disrupt from the RATS or just to make a joke.
To those people that continue to trash MY President and call him names, let me remind you that he is also YOUR President whether you like it or not! This isn't some bombing of a pill factory -- this is WAR! Either get with a lot of us Freepers in supporting President Bush or to follow the old saying -- if you can't say something nice about someone -- say nothing at all. I am asking all of you that have been trashing the President to not give aid and comfort to the enemies of freedom that are on here seeing what Americans think.
Please join with me in letting disruptors and those people that are trashing President Bush on here know that we will no longer tolerate having our President called names and having erroneous information posted about him during this time of WAR! I, for one, will defend him at every opportunity from this day forward! No more sitting back and not answering because I don't want to get someone mad. Those days are over.
I am proud to call George W. Bush My President and he is certainly no WIMP!
Why is it they think they are some how enlightened and above the average American when they are so out of touch with the real world?
ISSUE: According to the Media Research Center (www.mediaresearch.org), major media, including the Washington Post and ABC News, have launched a full-scale spin war against President Bush following the attack on our nation.
Newsmax.com reports that already, liberal media outlets have been raising questions about President Bush's taking a circuitous route back to Washington from Florida after being informed of Tuesday's terrorism.
Liberal columnist Mary McGrory, in Thursday's Washington Post, stated that George W. Bush "could not find the beat... He allowed himself to be hauled about the country like a fugitive to bunkers at Air Force bases in Louisiana and Nebraska." She proclaimed that Bush "flunked" this country's test: "he says he believes in education and he has three years to take a makeup exam in leadership."
In an exchange on ABC TV between correspondent Claire Shipman and anchor Peter Jennings on Wednesday night, Shipman implied that the White House is "eager" to put forth the report that the White House and Air Force One were targeted in order to divert attention from President Bush's "spend[ing] his day yesterday flying around the country instead of coming straight back to Washington." Jennings noted "we're all pretty skeptical and cynical about Washington."
Tom Brokaw, interviewing Gen. Schwarzkopf, implied that the Bush administration was negligent in not getting actively involved in the Mideast peace process while all the violence was going on.
And Dan Rather introduced President Bush before he addressed the nation in the middle of this emergency by saying, "No matter how you feel about him, he is still our president."
There are others as well: Newsweek's Howard Fineman moaned about Bush's flight on Air Force One and criticized him for not winning the popular vote; Newsday's Ellis Henican, asking if we "have a president too nervous to work live"; Maureen Dowd at the NY Times, complaining that reporters "weren't sure where the president was"; and ABC's Mark Halperin insisted that, if reporters aren't informed of every little detail of this war, they aren't "likely - nor should they be expected - to show such deference for long."
As Newsmax.com stated, "even in time of crisis when Americans are rallying around the President of the United States, cheap-shot politics seems to live on in some quarters."
ACTION ITEM: Patriotic Americans are supporting President Bush ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. It's time we let the liberal media and their talking heads know that.
Contact the major media outlets NOW and let them know how outraged we are that they would engage in such cheap-shot politics against the leader of the free world, at a time when we need to stand by his leadership.
Please forward this email to everyone you know that is outraged at the liberal media's partisan political attacks on President Bush. Thank you.
If you'd like to contact the media using your own email program or postal mail, feel free to use the sample letter below:
Dear Media Outlet, I am outraged that the likes of Mary McGrory, Peter Jennings, Claire Shipman, Tom Brokaw, Dan Rather and others are engaging in cheap-shot politics against the leader of the free world, at a time when we need to stand by his leadership. Comments on ABC, CBS, NBC, in the Washington Post, Newsweek, Newsday and others venting vile anti-Bush hatred are despicable. I will turn the channel and refuse to buy such garbage until "reporters" there change their tune and back President Bush as he leads our nation against the cowards who attacked us.
We don't need our leader attacked from within. Stop your partisan political attacks NOW. Decency demands it. Sincerely,

Prodigal Son, I got an e-mail from a friend in Australia. She heard the news when she woke and e-mailed me immediately to let me know that she was thinking of me. She said she had been crying all morning. So, not everyone in other countries are like that sneering woman you encountered - thank goodness.
I have not been a fan of President Bush. Not conservative enough for me. Consequently, I voted for Harry Browne. Given Mr. Browne's commentary on recent events, I am have withdrawn my support. I'm sorry that I gave him my vote and my money. But then, everyone has 20/20 hindsight.
I have been following this story carefull. The benefits of doing contract computer consulting with no contract at the moment.
It is my opinion now that President Bush is a man with great depth and strength. I thank God that he is a our President in these most difficult times. I hope he, through his actions, proves himself worthy of the trust the America people have placed in him.
My God bless and guide him.
God Bless G.W. Bush! "God give us the strength and leadership to destroy the evil that would destroy this great nation and its people."
But I was to be further impressed. When President Bush was asked about his prayers, then looked down, and when he looked up he had tears in his eyes. When he spoke his voice cracked. It takes a real man to reveal his inner most feelings in this way. After so many years of having to listen to sociopaths, President Bush has revealed himself to be a real man. And this is a time for real men. America has been feminized long enough. It is time for America to again assert its masculine strengths.
This is a time for real men.
Bet your never said when Klintoon was prez! Thats the problem with you dems, you talk out of both sides of your mouth!
I think this point is well made. We MUST remain focused here. We have a war to fight, that we MUST WIN. The future of our American way of life depends on it. Lets not wait until a nuclear device explodes on Wall Street before we get that into our heads. Like Newt said, if these attacks dont wake us up, what will?
There will be plenty time later to discuss whose to blame. We must love our country more than we hate Clinton and his culpability in this tragedy.
There has been too much damage to this country, to our security, to our morals and to our government by his actions, his deceptions and his corruption. We will not let Bill Clinton get back in power because to do so would be the final destruction of this country.
We are totally amazed that so many of you people have never seen the deception, the lies, the ego, the evil of Bill Clinton. That is a pity for you - but we have seen it and we have to fight it because of people like you who can't see it. People like you believe that he is the image he tries to portray - we know he is not. You believe that he cares about you and this country - we know he does not. You believe he did no harm to our country and our secrets, we know he did. We would not be honorable Americans if we did not reveal the real Bill Clinton.
Two small miracles today. 1)A post by Hildy:
Clinton will be remembered as the PRESIDENT WHO DIVIDED A NATION. Bush will be remembered as the PRESIDENT WHO UNITED A NATION.
2)Tim Russert praised President Bush, said there should be no doubt about President Bush's legitimacy now.
Thank you, patriot PKM. I think we needed this thread (with perhaps a suggestion that disruptors be ignored).Hugs.
