DO NOT POST ANY MILITARY INFORMATION YOU HAVE
It is imperative during this time period that no one and I mean no one post any information they have about our military except to report on the crash of the plane at the Pentagon. There have been several postings tonight giving information about bases near where they live -- please do not discuss your local bases on the open forum. Use freeper mail to people you know.
Our men and women of the Armed Forces will most likely be put in harm's way soon enough without our telling people what is going on in our areas. Please think before you post. Whether a strike is in the near future or six months away, keep your mouths shut about military activities in your area that are not already in the press.
Thank you much!
God Bless our military, our President, and the United States of America!
Please freepers, think before posting anything that could be used by the enemies of this Country. Treat any information you have as classified!

The best solution is "NUKE THEM". You may be pleased to know that was the suggestion of Co. David Hackworth on the Sean Hannity radio show yesterday. We have small tacical nukes, literally small enough that they are on artillery shells.

If there is one thing I have learned from reading forums like those dealing with TWA800 is that there are a lot of people posting here who, like myself, have a great deal of actual military experience. And there are an even larger number people posting here who only think that they do. The ones with actual experience know better than to let slip any secrets. The others should be allowed to post what they want. They will only provide confusion to our enemies.

Rummy sounded like he was gonna bust a blood vessel or something yesterday when he was telling the media to be careful about publishing leaks. It also seemed some of his vitriol was directed at congresspersons and senators who might get a briefing and then go blab it on TV (like THAT never happens...) (puke)

Thankfully I'm totally ignorant. I did hear one vague rumor, but I won't repeat it.

Actually I would normally agree with you but last night some folks posted some information that was correct and should not have been on here! Thus the reason I put this up! When Secretary Rumsfeld has to warn about daily leaks of classified information from the Pentagon, then it is timely to remind people on here to keep their mouths closed about what they know and don't post on this forum.

The idea that our situation is comparable to that of Fortress America in WW II is rather anachronistic. There are simply too many information sources available now, too many information venues through which and by which enemy agents can gather and transmit such information to our enemies.
However, I don't want to see such information posted anyway. It's only a distraction and too partial to be worth discussing. I think our potential enemies are already well-informed of our deployment patterns, a pretty standard procedure. Still, caution will hurt no one in this instance.

" The ones with actual experience know better than to let slip any secrets. The others should be allowed to post what they want. They will only provide confusion to our enemies. "LOL! Your logic contradicts your screen name!

This is one of the rare times I would approve of the intelligence community stiff-arming congressional oversight of their operation.
It's appalling when you realize how diplomats of all countries use sexual weakness to prey on their targets. Condit needs to be removed from any sensitive committees.
Now.

bump. In addition, someone should "quietly" remind the former military and intelligence types working with the media to keep their big mouths shut and harken back to the oaths they took when they entered US service. I have heard too many of them speculating about possible plans and capabilities and it makes me sick to think that the bad guys out there are listening and preparing.

This is a critical time and a time to stop disseminating military information. Besides warning the media dolts, some of our Congressmen....especially those privy to info....should also be warned.
I don't remember the name, but wasn't there a Congressman in the past who revealed classified info which resulted in the exposure and death of at least one of our secret agents? Does anyone here know more about this?

Do remember that some media "leaks" are going to be done by the White House and DOD to help our nation's position.
