Fully agreed. I could not believe the media's behavior during the Gulf War, when they said "Where is the ground war? What targets are we bombing? Where will we go next?" That was when I lost my respect for CNN, which they have never regained.
And I am in stunned disbelief at the media reaction to the current investigation.... "Breaking News: Bin Laben associates say they hit two targets" {well, I guess they won't be making any more phone calls, so we lost the chance to track them that way}. Then later, "Breaking News: Search Warrants sought in Datona Beach" {so all you terrorists need to clear out now}.
I would not be at all surprised to find out that one of the still-living collaborators was able to elude arrest because the government leaked and the media blared out the clues as soon as they were uncovered before anyone had time to follow up on them.
