It seems that in the last two days, everytime I switched on ABC News coverage, Peter Jennings was spewing some criticism of the president. Now I like Canadians just as much as the next guy but I've had just about a belly-full of this assho!e. And I'm sure I'm not alone.

Email ABC News by clicking here and let them know that you don't appreciate some high school drop-out like Peter Jennings criticizing your president when Jennings isn't even a citizen of the United States.

Bryant Gumbel was on this morning and was asking the reporter at the White House, Bill Plante I think, that the White House didn't have concrete proof that the White House and AF1 were targets. Plante said that W and his staff are going out of their way to make it look like he wasn't afraid to return to Washington.

Former President Bush said (on CNN) that his son, George W., had received a lot of criticism about flying to Omaha on Tuesday. He said that now we all know that Air Force One and the White House were under threat. He further said that the President had received phone calls of apologies NOW but didn't give details.

Here is the message I just sent:

At a time when our nation faces it's greatest crisis, largest loss of life, we need leadership.

We do not need Peter Jennings using pejorative language to describe the President of the United States.

Everyone is open to criticism, but, in a time of crisis, a professional journalist should know better.

I will no longer be watching broadcasts on ABC as a result of this insulting behavior, on live TV.

Shame on the management of ABC for letting this happen, and, for remaining silent on the matter.

i think it might be a good idea to complain to ABCs local affiliates and let them pass the viewers discontent to the network, the network is probably more likely to listen to the locals than to individual viewers.

If you're sick of Jennings and ABC's anti-Bush and anti-American diatribes (for instance, Jennings this morning saying many think Bush "illegitimate"), CALL YOUR LOCAL ABC AFFILIATE - - - and CALL ITS SPONSORS!!!! -- Also, call ABC's owner - the DISNEY CO. Anyone watching Jennings? I stopped watching. He has a bunch of arabs on. It is unbelievable! It's like having O.J. talk to battered women.

I did this yesterday. This is what I said:

"I was very grieved yesterday to hear the tone and content of Peter Jennings' comments as he covered yesterday's events. Our local ABC Radio affiliate station was carrying your news feed apparently throughout the morning. Shortly after some particularly offensive comments by Mr. Jennings, (who is not even a native born U.S. citizen and feels that somehow he has the right to spew forth his personal political beliefs at a time of terror in this country) the station made the wise decision to switch to a Fox News feed. I have called and thanked them for this action."

I didn't mention to them that the woman who answered the phone at the local station told me in so many words that she AGREED with me, because she had been listening to PJ also.
