CNN reports (the male reporter with the blonde blow dried hair and big Clintonesque Nose) that Bush is seeking negotiations with Congressional leaders for a "Resolution of Resolve" (my quotation is as close as I can remember; but it definitely WAS NOT "DECLARATION OF WAR"). Dems are stalling as they don't "want to give the President a blank check".
Anyone with CNN can verify this.

Dems are stalling as they don't "want to give the President a blank check". Just great. Democrats are looking to turn this into another Vietnam by handcuffing our military.

"but it definitely WAS NOT "DECLARATION OF WAR"). "
Bush has talked a good fight. We will have to see if he follows through.

They mentioned this "resolve" resolution earlier tonight. It IS a blank check for the use of force, and from what I understand, it's just a declaration of war with no specific country on the recieving end. Go for it. We need all options available, and there's no reason why anyone should hold it up for one second.

Anything less than a war declaration will not satisfy me, unfortunately. Listening to NY radio, even the liberal doves are out for blood. This is the defining moment for Bush. Let's hope he's up to the task.
To: Loopy
Resolution of Resolve sounds meaningless and stupid whether it has any teeth or not. We need to declare war.

DECLARATION OF WAR NOW!!!!!!!
To: Loopy
One advantage of a declaration of war against international terrorists and their state sponsors is that those who support them could be tried for treason.
Hmmm. I wonder if Rep. Peter King (Sinn Fein-NY) talked him out of it.

If the Democrats are in the way just go around them.
If there is no declaration of war by this country we are weak and will no longer be feared.

Our enemies have shown that they have the will to strike out at us. They have started WWIII. We have the ability to defeat them. Now we must have the political will to do it.

READ POST 7. Biden says no. Bush is in "negotiations." THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! ALL HE HAS TO DO IS ASK CONGRESS FOR IT AND THEY HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO GIVE IT.
This is the worst act of aggression on American Soil EVER!!!!! EVER!!!!
Are we going to let our politicians sell us down the river to more deaths of innocent Americans by half measures???? Because that it what is coming, or are we all to blind to see it?
