You didn't read what I wrote. They acheived 100% success rate getting past airport security and 100% success rate knowing which planes were not going to have sky marshalls.

Having that kind of ability takes the resources of a nation state, not a fringe group.

No, it does not take the resources of a nation state. It only takes the resources of someone with a plane ticket. Hiding a utility knife (or just a blade) would not tax the ingenuity of my seven year old son.

Do sky marshalls routinely fly on planes? Do they fly on the same route or random routes? And please refer to several articles on FR in the past that demonstrates how airport security has been brached in the past. If indeed the only weapons were knives of some sort, could those could more easily be concealed.

- using something just less than paring knives I might add.

Where little Michael attempts to denigrate US security efforts, against a truly dedicated foe there is little short of strip searches of all passengers at the gate and tight physical security past that point that could have prevented what ocurred.

Now, an armed captain and co-pilot and the acceptance of a little loss of life on behalf of saving the plane and the balance of the passengers - would have worked ...

But little Michael, sewing his brand of discontent needs a strawman - and is working MIGHTILY to build one up - but for what purpose?
