Plane bombings planned before, abortion

Some random thoughts (sorry for the vanity):

I remember about 5 years ago Algerian terrorists were planning the same type of plane bombings over Paris. They wanted to cause the maximum amount of civilian casualties. They were caught and stopped.

Depending on the final number of dead at the WTC, it will equal about the number of abortions done EACH DAY in America.

Hey, now is not the time to be harping on the abortion point!

I don't believe abortion is right, but GIVE IT REST, PAL!

I'm not sure about the numbers, but your sentiment is right -- so many dead by abortion and people go about their lives as if nothing has happened. The dead children had just as much right to live as everyone in the towers and plans. Their constitutional rights have been unduly taken from them just as those who died on Sept. 11.

"..Now is not the time to be harping on the abortion point."

Why not? It's all about the killing of innocent people--is it not?

You make a good point. Most of the elite people support killing.. they only differ on who is to be killed.

Lots of people don't like to hear what they are. It destroys their self image. They demand action on killing they don't like. They want to ignore killing that only slightly bothers them. That is why they want to give it a rest. They want their conscience to continue sleeping comfortably.

Their conscience needs more exercise..not rest. Keep it up.

I feel so strongly against what you have said at this delicate moment in America, I can not even respond, for fear of being excluded permanently in Free Republic....Catch my drift?

Yes. As I said, though I might agree with you that abortion is wrong, I don't think this is the right time to try to make that type of comparison.

You people a like bad fricking comics: really bad timing.

You also make yourselves look like idiots during a time of national crisis. (YES, I KNOW ABORTION IS ALSO A NATIONAL CRISIS! But, it is just different: one is a national moral crisis, one is a true national crisis.)

Right, sure, yeah, this is no different from the holocaust of abortions in the U.S. Same thing. Morally equivalent. We should be equally outraged.

You're sick, very sick.

All,

First, these are random thoughts...

Second, do not call into question my patriotism - I have probably done more than the vast majority of the posters here (ie - if you don't know where Camp Mackall is you would not understand)

Third, now that I think about it, what exactly is the difference of the killing of innocents - whether by terrorists or by a doctor?

Our massive destruction of innocent unborn life is the primary cause of our nation's weakness in the face of all dangers to peace and security.

So you're saying we deserved it.

Allah's will, right?

No innocent life deserves to be killed. I said nothing of the sort. I did not imply it.

Abortion has weakened our moral fiber. People no longer make decisions based on right and wrong but upon what feels good at the moment. What began as situation ethics turned into "values clarification." Do what feels good. Sacrificial acts do not feel good at the moment, but heroes engage in them every day.

Like many I have been in tears since this happened.

I favor a multi-year campaign against terrorism, to exterminate all who engage in these acts and to stop every single person who supports terrorism in any fashion.

If you desire peace, prepare for war.

Bounce the rubble.
