Sounds like some postumous Medal of Honor awards are do those brave passengers.

I am crying right now reading those words. To think that people acted on the information they had. Bravery, honor do mean something sometimes.

I would agree, except that the Medal of Honor cannot be awarded to civilians. There is some kind of Congressional medal that civilians can receive (I think Richard Petty received it a few years ago), and I'm sure they will all be recognized.
