That's their story. It's not a federal conspiracy. Just Kmart.

Oh, yes- when there is the possibility of a domestic war is the best time to pull guns from the market.
What do you expect from a company that used Rosie as a spokesperson?
To: Dan from Michigan
Did they expect wide spread rioting, or what?

Thank God algore's not prez. By now we'd be under martial law with BATFinks going door-to-door confiscating private weapons.

Wonder if the authorities are worried Americans are going to riot and kill every muhammadan they can get their hands on when they realize the death toll? Has anyone else noticed that more than 12 hours later and there has been NO speculation in the media about how many have died? Whenever the question is asked at press conferences, authorities say it's too early to say. I think the toll will be staggering, and government is afraid American people will go ape-sh*t when they find out.

With all those guns and boolets used in the bombing I would too! /sarcasm! What morons! CommieMart was just itching to find some stoopid reason to do this.

This at a time when they should be adding guns and ammo to the shelves. An armed society is not only a polite society but also a relatively safe society.

That's OK Kmart, I have plenty of ammo . . . I'm counting it now!
That's strange, when things like this happen, I feel the need to clean my weapons and count my ammo.

I went to my little gun store to re-furbish my .44 mag ammo. I did buy some more .223 as well. I have enough of the rest of my cache. I did stop at the local K-mart to see if this was the policy....it was. I told the poor clerk there that I wouldn't buy underwear there if I was naked and desititute. He asked me if I wanted to talk to the manager...I replied..........NO!

K-Mart is run by some of the most pathetic piss ant scum in the business world. They've been foundering for years. Now, I just hope they go belly up. I'm tired of the idiots that run K-Mart.
To: Dan from Michigan
That's one thing I've learned today. Create enough panic, and the idiots will start taking control of everything. I was lucy as heck to get home from work in such short order given that all these offices and labs were being evacuated everywhere at exactly the same time. This was occurring while other wunnerful Metro officials made the crucial decision to shut down Union Station. A brother in law in Raleigh, NC (who has no connections with the government whatsoever) was evacuated from his office complex hours after the last attack. For what reason? This tragedy could turn us into the country of zero-tolerance policies. You know, the sort of things that are happening in high schools where butter knife wielding class presidents are thrown in jail and 15 year old felons are given detention. Forget armed guards and metal detectors. Airports need something more sexy like face scanning technology and a national id system to go with it!

"The safety of our customers and our associates is our first priority," Then why are they refusing their customers the tools they need to defend themselves from scrots like the ones making such a mess today? They don't always use hijacked aircraft you know.
IMHO, they've just been looking for the right excuse to come along. No skin of my back, haven't bought guns from them ever, and haven't bought any ammo from them for over a decade.

Local anti-gun bigot company called Hechingers went bankrupt several years ago. Ha, ha, ha, ha!
Let's see if we can facilitate K-Mart's demise in our local communities nationwide like we have done to several so-called "grassroots" Million Moo March organizations. :-)

Kmart is closing shop in my area. They are becoming irrelevant. I am still wondering what is the relevance of keeping guns away from legal eagles in times of distress, what is Kmart trying to achieve? Common sense or politics? To me this is politics ... very odd.
To: Dan from Michigan
This is HorseHillary. K-Mart announced a couple of months ago that they were going to quit selling guns and ammunition.
To: Dan from Michigan
"Kmart extends its deepest sympathies to the people affected by today's tragic incident." If every passenger and flight member was carrying, I don't think any of this would have happened. Do you? So much for removing guns for our own protection. THEY USED KNIVES!!

Kmart is a private company and as such has the right to decide not to sell anything it wants to, at any time, for any reason. Even totally idiotic reasons such as deciding not to sell guns to American citizens "for their safety".
By the same token, the rest of us also have the right to decide not to patronize any of their establishments ever, ever again.
