They asked Julliani and they also have quoted figures from 20,000 to 50,000 of the number of employees in the buildings at the time, let alone tourists and people in the streets and shops nearby.
The American public knows in their hearts it is high; they don't want to deal with it right now.
I assume practically everyone above the impact area died, but there was time for quite a few people below to evacuate and they know the drill, and I hope many did get out.
Needless to say, I think the number will be in five figures.
