Ladies and Gentlemen, FReepers of every race, CREED and color, I urge an immediate moratorium on the nauseatingly bigoted comments directed against "Islam," or "Muslims," or any negative reference to anyone strictly because of his or her religion. FR is no place for this trash, and I'd like to publicly call on the Esteemed Moderators to hunt down and erase all such tripe from FR.
If you'll go back and reread what I have written you'll note that I mention that stooping to the same level of hatred and bigotry as our enemies makes us no better than they in that respect.
Worse, there are some who will sink all the way down to the level of our enemies, doing violence to innocents whose only connection might be that they worship in a similar manner.
If your actions are all a REaction to your enemies, and in mirror image, then they control you.
I think you know the difference. Don't insult our intelligence, please.

Actually, that isn't true. Christianity is growing faster. My own Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is growing at a MUCH faster rate than Islam.

Again, no. The growth mainly stems from the high rate of population growth of many of those countries with large or total Islamic populations such as Pakistan, Malaysia and the Phillipines.
If you'll read some of my comments on other threads you'll know where I'm coming from on this. I call for invasion and occupation of all those nations on our "terrorism sponsor list."
All you say is correct, but I have neighbors and acquaintances who are Muslim, and they are not the enemy. In fact, many of them, particularly my Iranian friends, are here because they lost everything and had to flee for their lives when the radical fundamentalist Islamic revolution went down.
But they didn't change their religion because of the actions of fanatic extremists.
I wonder if anyone has stopped to think how bad things would be if radical Christian extremists ever got hold of enough recruits and arms? I doubt there'd be a whole lot of difference in the outcome.
We have thousands of CITIZENS of this nation who practice Islam. Tell me, in your opinion should they be targeted? Rounded up and put in camps? Have their citizenship stripped away?
Address the concerns that I have put forth, and don't go off on a tangent.

I suggest you get real. There are 1.2 Billion Muslims in the world approximately.
They don't all hate us. In fact, I suggest that less than 1% actually "hate us." You are hearing from the vocal minority. They are the enemy, and they must be put down.
But your attitude is no better than theirs. They condemn all of the U.S., all its citizens, for what they perceive as "injustice" by our government. They want us all killed as a result.
Explain, please, how you are better than they.
And I back that up 110%.
First, I fully believe that we are going to have more terrorists acts from these animals. I think the first day that we begin to strike back, we may see it. If our law enforcement and homeland defense forces are not able to locate and eradicate these people, it may be very, very bad.
That doesn't change one word of what I said. There are CITIZENS within our borders who practice Islam as a faith. The vast majority are guilty of nothing, no more than you are.
But that has nothing to do with my call to end the hatred against "Islam" in general.
Actually, I believe that the great majority of Islam has no connection with any of this. Are you Protestant? Do you feel a need to "apologize" for the shameful attacks against innocent schoolchildren in Belfast last week?
Are you Catholic? Do you feel the need to apologize for the IRA?
We need some perspective here.
People wonder how Hitler did it. You don't need a fortune teller to see it now. I went back and read some of the Nazi propoganda in the 1930's and it sounds eerily familiar.
My point exactly. If such a fatwa had been issued, we would all know it. None of us have heard a hint of such things. Which suggests it doesn't exist. And if it doesn't exist, what does that say about islam's view of the terrorists? Hmm?
