CA Gov Davis urges "No Reprisals inside our border"
KABC TV - Press Conference

Posted on 09/11/2001 2:28:43 PM PDT by monkeyshine

Says he does not want groups of Americans pitted against other Americans. He does not want "reprisals inside our border".

Is that how he thinks of Americans? Of Californians? What a cynical bastard he is. Glomming on for face time in this tragedy only to prove that he is the idiot we all know he is.

How many innocent people have to die on planes, trains and in schoolyards before he realizes that the only answer is good, honest, decent ARMED Americans to fend off foreign and domestic terrorists?

He would have us sacrifice our Liberty in exchange for Security but of course the result is we have neither!

We need to run these gun grabbers out of town. I only wish a couple of armed Americans were on board these planes to take out the terrorist scum and spare the lives of thousands of people. It is politicians like he who demagogue every tragedy to advance their power grab. Down With Davis!

I was going to post a somewhat acid response about these deaths being attributable to gun control that keeps people from being able to carry concealed on board aircraft, but your post did just fine.

Government officials should be ecouraging everyone to become well armed and well trained in self defense. The money being wasted on "gun control" enforcement, should be redirected toward defense programs such as the Civillian Marksmanship Program (CMP).

Thousands of lives might have been saved, had the passengers and crew of those planes been allowed their second amendment right to keep and bear arms. More metal detectors and guards will not stop terrorists, but well armed and trained citizens, would be prepared to do so!

He does not want enemies of this country that live in this country punished.

Even if they are governors.

Nope, do not want any of them reprisal thing-a-ma-bobs.

Mayor Guiliani pretty much said the same thing.

That's fine. That's just great! When does our esteemed governor suggest steps be taken to protect out citizens?

Perhaps after some Ryder trucks cross our open border with Mexico with nuclear bombs in them?

Perhaps after they reduce San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco to a glowing radioactive ash heap?

Just when, Governor Davis, would you deem appropriate action to be taken?

I only hope they save a nuke for Sacramento if that's the case.

Perhaps he's concerned about his fellow leftists who have so fervently embraced terrorists like Arafat and Castro.

I think we can glean alot about those public figures, and others, who seem more interested in scolding their countrymen for expressing anger than expressing their own outrage over the deaths of 10-20 thousand fellow Americans.

Its amazing how stupidity escalates in times of crisis. By G_d, we want to punsh those people but were going to be sooo fair about it. If that is now what America is about America isn't America.

We supose Davis and his fellow travelers wants to get to the bottom of this problem no matter how may citizens die in the long drawn out process. Why do these people get press anyway?
