Fellow Americans, Like many of you, I awoke to the terrible news of the destruction in New York City.

Now is a time for all us to unite in support of our national leaders, to remember what unites us, and to give comfort and prayers for the victims of these awful events. We will be posting news of these events, and of the national response to them, as we get it.

Best to you all, and to our Republic.

I just talked to a friend of mine when I came home for lunch. Her family lives in NYC. They do not know where her brother and her son are, and cannot get contact with them. I thought I could be strong until then. When she started sobbing, so did I.

I think most of the people that come to FR do so out of strong belief in their Country and Constitution. I think we will all pull together to fight any threat to our Nation.

The vastness of these events today, I do not think have really registered yet with any of us.

Fox News was just showing people jumping from the top stories of the twin towers. I still can't imagine the amount of life lost in the instances of each collapse.

Then the next image I see is the partying in the streets of Palistine.

I don't think I will think rationally for awhile so I am trying not to post much.

Demidog ought to be banned for his vanity, as well as Inspector Harry Callahan for his characterization of the FBI as "blithering idiots." There were many who died today, and here are these members trying to make political hay out of a thousand deaths. I say banish both of them for a month.
