This is so stupid, four months after graduating high school most of them would be off at college, and no one would bat an eyelid at this type of behavior.

Boomers sewed the wind. Now let them reap the whirlwind. Damn how I hate that generation.

A couple arrested after allowing a stripper to dance naked at a party for Horace Greeley High School students is now under investigation by Child Protective Services for letting their 17-year-old son watch the woman's performance.
It ain't pretty (or maybe it was, I wasn't there :-) ), but if the kid could get married w/ his parents' permission, the State shouldn't care if he sees a stripper w/ his parents' permission.

It's probably nothing that the 17 year old hasn't done before.

I wonder if they would be interested in adopting me?

If this had been a GLADD meeting the police bust would be a hate crime.

Dumb? Yes. Punishable offense for the stupid yuppie parents who should have known better? Yes. A big deal? No. We had to hire our own "entertainers" 30 years ago when I was a high school kid. Not long ago, 4 kids here got caught with a 6-pack and a pack of cigs. The kids and their parents had to go to alcohol school (whatever the hell that is) and the kids were on probation for 6 months. I'm not in favor of teen drinking, but gimmie a break.
To: Liz
I'm really deeelighted to hear this randy kid's parents supervised the kids' party.
Don't you agree it's best that our under-age kids smoke their dope, drink, and watch naked women under the loving watchful eyes of the parents? I mean, after all, where else should they learn this stuff - OUT ON THE STREETS??? And hey, maybe this boy's dad gave them some good tips on how to score too!

These people are not trailer park trash so nothing will be done. Immorality is confined to the unwashed.

they found the Wiens and dozens of cheering students watching a 31-year-old stripper lying naked on the backyard patioNot to worry. Now if it was a naked GUN, they'd be in trouble. If I was on a jury, this would be LAUGHED out of court.

Anybody who wonders why the Republican Party is so divided (and hence, so ineffective) should read the responses to this thread and the other threads occasioned by the stripper story.
As a parent and as a Christian, I am appalled by the conduct of these rich socialites and their spoiled-brat kiddies. When I was young, these people were what came to my mind when I heard the word "Republican"--i.e., amoral country-club Nelson Rockefeller wannabees. Today their libertine non-values are championed by the Libertarian element in the Republican Party, the folks who get all hot and bothered about high taxes and gun laws but love pornography and the pornophile culture, AKA the Culture of Death.
Because the most zealous of the people leading this country to ruin are in league with the Democrats--the Larry Flynts and the Kate Michelmans--I now vote a Republican ticket. But my wife and I haven't registered Republican, and we never contribute to the Party organization, because we have no more in common with the Lifestyle Libertarians than we do with Hillary Clinton, and we think their views will do at least as much as hers to harm our kids and all that we want for them.

BTW - This happened in the county I was from once. A high school rival football team(I might have been a senior there or I just graduated.) had someone who was 18 hire a stripper. This made 20/20 and all the news stations. LOL. Unbelievable.

Must be Democraps. Lewed, Immoral, Poor Example, No Values, Blamed everyone else. They probably attended Woodstock.
Why weren't they and the students prosecuted for drug possession? I guess that's ok in NY and with Gov. Pataki.

I think this issue should be kept between the parents. If the parents of the boys want to press charges...so be it. Let the parents duke it out.
Otherwise the law shouldn't have their nose in it.

Land of the free...how sad that many want to crystalize that phrase into allowing them to lack moral fiber and exercise restraint. It would seem, that this direction of thought is similar to those who say that abortion is a personal right and a form of contraception.
Puritanical frenzy...I see that Christian bashing is alive and well in this thread, too. Let's see, these people had a large group of minors, a stripper, marijuana and booze at a party. Either the rule of law is in effect or you must find yourself on Clinton's side of the argument that personal actions are not subject to the law.
Moral purity, though old-fashioned, is still important for many reasons. Most importantly, it is one of the foundations of a strong family.

As disgusting as I think this story is, I have to side with the libertarians on this one. CPS involved with a
seventeen year old boy? Do they really think that they are protecting the boy, or are they really interested in punishing the parents?
I have also been told recently that many parents allow their children to watch pornographic films as weekend entertainment.
To: Liz
These foolish parents probably thought they were acting cool. My son, at 16, went to a party after a game and paid $2 admission. The kids got wine coolers and beer. He was involved in an accident that caused over $10,000 in damage. Fortunately, not one was injured and he was not drunk. But the beer or wine cooler probably added to the accident. Although I took the parents and homeowner to small claims court, suing for my increased insurance premium for three years, I did not prevail. I was p*ssed at the police for not charging the parents with a crime.
18 year olds can have a stripper. They are adults. But parents cannot allow this at their home with underage kids. What were they thinking?
To: Liz
This is just plain wrong.
Having a party for a third-string quarterback?!?!
Oh, and someone mentioned the 1000-year sentence in the road rage case, asking why the guy didn't just get a life sentence. Sentences like this are the only to ensure someone like that never gets out, if life without parole isn't an option. Anything else would mean that the guy would be out in 15-20 years.
