Hillary Rodham Clinton, Christy Turlington...and Others to Be Honored with Redbook's Mothers & Shakers Awards Presented by Chevy TrailBlazer

Hillary Rodham Clinton to Address Guests in Keynote Speech

Honoring Women Who Make Change Happen on Monday, September 10th, 2001, at Avery Fisher Hall

NEW YORK, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- On Monday, September 10, 2001, Redbook in conjunction with Chevy TrailBlazer will present its fourth annual Mothers & Shakers awards at Avery Fisher Hall. This year's 12 honorees including Hillary Rodham Clinton, Christy Turlington, Sarah Ferguson, Marlo Thomas, Heather Mills and Lilly Tartikoff, have made extraordinary contributions to health care -- from helping to develop an AIDS vaccine to raising money for a new breast cancer treatment. Hillary Rodham Clinton will give the keynote address.

"We are proud to honor these twelve unstoppable women who are making such a difference to healthcare," said Ellen Kunes, Redbook's editor-in-chief. "Redbook recognizes this year's Mothers and Shakers for their dedication to helping the rest of us live longer, healthier lives."

"Chevrolet is extremely proud to help recognize these remarkable women for their significant contributions to healthcare," said Cheryl Pilcher, Chevrolet TrailBlazer assistant brand manager. "In the spirit of a true TrailBlazer, these twelve women have displayed the passion and commitment needed to improve the lives of millions of people around the world."

This year's Mothers & Shakers recipients include:

* Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton -- During the first year of her husband's presidency Hillary Clinton succeeded in focusing national attention on one of the most pressing questions of our time: How do we guarantee adequate medical care for everyone? Now the junior senator from New York State has continued the battle for equal access to medical care. Her legislative initiatives include bills which would make more uninsured children eligible for Medicaid, give patients the right to sue their HMOs, and extend Medicare coverage to prescription drugs.

There's much more...I cut it off here.

Yes...by all means...let's honor the nation's premier socialist with an auto-industry (SUV no less) sponsored festival.

My thoughts exactly, Doug. Anyone contemplating a new car, look to Chrysler or Ford. This is not pretty.

YEAAAA RIIIIGHT! She did such a great job that she was laughed right out of it!! GIVE ME A BREAK - Why don't they just stop giving this power hungry witch credit for doing absolutely nothing! She is just alot of talk and no action. I can see the media is still enamoured of the Clintoons - just goes to show you they need another family like the Kennedy's to kiss up to. I guess they just can't get enough of their idea of what a phoney pathetic idea of what a mother should be. BARF!!!!

I can't buy Chevy 'cause of honoring Hillary and I can't buy Toyota 'cause of caving into Jesse.

(Car shopping is getting easier and easier.)

Oh please. She and her socialist cohorts created a crisis where none existed, and her focus wasn't to get health care to those who have no access to it, but to micromanage it for all of us who do have coverage and make our own decisions.

Her greatest legislative coup to date was getting her anti-cock fighting amendment attached to a bill that failed in the full Senate. Her vaunted economic recovery bill for upstate NY languishes in committee, as she does not have either the determination nor the savvy to attach it to a more popular bill that's heading for the floor in the near future.

The Hillary Watch is ON!

Two more items on my boycott list -- Redbook and Chevy! What tripe! Bad enough they control the majority of newspapers, but seems they control the women's magazines as well!

This only proves that HILTERY is being set up by the clymers to take over the Reigns of the Presidency in 04 or 08. The libs will market her DOWN our throats wheather we like it or not! If the RATS do indeed take over both houses, she'll be the toast of the country. The QUEEN BEAST will make sure bubba and her take credit for EVERYTHING that the congress does and passes(of course only the items that receive high praises). I wouldn't doubt if congress would also declare a national holiday in honor of these two domonic SCUMS!

Sarah Ferguson.......yeah, now there's a true woman of accomplishment. Spare me these phony awards to women who are, nothing more than, "celebrities".

Lest America ever forget why X-42, W(B)-97, and all their enablers should be hectored, hounded, and harried into silence, until "clintonese is only spoken in Hell," look here:

-"until clintonese is spoken only in Hell!"--

If you only read one link, make it "Murder, Inc."

Well, the only good news in this piece is that they did NOT include Rosie O'Donuts...or Paula Poundstone.

Honored with Redbook's Mothers & Shakers Awards

She does have an impressive resume -

tried to change (read: SOCIALIZE) healthcare and failed.

Stood by her man during his multiple infidelities

Smeared her enemies at every turn

Refuses to answer questions about her politics

Stole government property

Engineered votes for pardons

Yep, she sure is a "role model" that we all need to look up to.

Yes, and don't forget what she did to the government employees of the White House Travel Office: she really helped their children out by summarily firing their mom or dad--for no reason.
