Janet vs. Jeb: Rivals beyond 'deliverance'

Washington -- It's a game that draws the biggest crowd at the carnival. Your ball hits the target. The big shot falls into the water.

Next November, the most enticing target in the country will be Jeb Bush, governor of Florida. Nail Jeb hard and his littler, older brother -- that's the president! -- will fall with a splash into the icy tub. Last week, Janet Reno, attorney general during the Clinton administration, took a prominent place in line to "Throw at Jeb!" But by declaring her candidacy, Reno erected a new attraction on the American midway: "Throw at Janet." Beat her and you've struck a blow against the FBI; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms; the federal government; the Clinton cotillion; the gun control crowd and Fidel Castro to boot.

Hey Gene, Been pretty good. Retired about a month ago. Thinking about working in politics full time. In between dips in the pool that is.

I believe this will be a good test of the theory that it is not enough for a party to be against somebody. They have to have take positions on issues.

Will it be enough for the Democrats simply to be against Bush (either Bush) ... I doubt it.

Heh. You're not the only one. I live in Miami and everyone I've talked to absolutely LOATHES the "woman". I have yet to meet anyone who's for her. And already several family members and I are planning on doing some grassroots campaigning for Jeb. We simply do NOT want this woman as governor!

Anyone check whether the following sites -- and ones similar them -- are taken?

www.reno.org
www.renoforgov.com
www.janetrenoforgovernor.org
www.reno2002.org

It would be delicious to see them up and running and directed to Free Republic.

If Bush loses it will be spun as a referendum on Dubya. If Bush wins it will be because of massive voter disenfranchisement, road blocks, mixed up lists, unable to get to the precinct, etc. etc. ... .

"Men: Bush 59 percent, Reno 35 percent. Women: Bush 49 percent, Reno 43 percent. That six-point lead among women is hardly surprising. The 24-point edge with male voters stands as the giant detail. Blame it on guns or on male insecurity. Wallow in psychobabble."

Come now Mr. Mathews. Blame it on the fact that there are fewer men who vote roboticaly for whatever evil moron the Dems put forward, or the fact that all things being equal women are somewhat more likely to vote for women.

It may just my personal case of testosterone overload, but the Dems appear to be deliberately trying to nominate the worst representatives of the liberal herds.

Why Reno is best qualified for the job.

Best suited to deal with illegal immigration problems. Shake & Bake just sends em back. Ie: Elian

Toughest on Crime.: Remember Ruby Ridge.. Reno's guys shoot to kill.

Best on child welfare issues. Remember WACO. Koresch will never endanger another child again.

Toughest on crime. Janet's Jack Booted agents will remove guns from everybody... who needs the 2nd Ammendmend???

Janet has the most experience dealing with crisis situations. She takes the bull by the horn and takes full responsibility for her actions.
