The RINO's know if they don't suck up to the media, they'll end up in media limbo like Senator Helms.

From what I understand, Michael Barone used to be a liberal. He's done a 180% turn. You're right, he is really intelligent. He does analysis of pre-election trends. He sees Republicans gaining seats in the next election cycle. He and John Zogby(the pollster) are usually fairly accurate. That is, perhaps, wishful thinking on my part, but anything is possible. Clinton got himself elected, didn't he? And, I NEVER thought that would happen!!

The best part of THIS WEEK, was George Will talking about the race for governor of Florida. Can't recall the exact quote but it was something like, "Reno will be remembered in Florida for the famous photography of the kidnapping of a child out of a home."

George Will is PRICELESS.

I saw that too.....Daschle actually kept a straight face and said this economy is Bush's Economy...I taped it and had to reply that part. Unbelievable...

Wow! Hold on Common Tator. First of all, I was saying I thought it was obvious to everyone. I'm not special, and I was by no means stating this. What's wrong with you, man? I've always had a lot of respect for your insight and knowledge. Why are you flying of the handle on me? I certainly don't think the way you're implying.

I mean, Biden is a hypocrite, isn't he?

Just watched F.N.S., did you think Tony Snow came off as being biased in his Questioning of Conrad and Mcconell? I found him argumentative with Mitch/president/Republicans and throwing softballs at the Democrats (which he seems to be doing alot of lately). He's really smart assed and defensive. Some of his more memorable statements: "the president says he feels the pain of people pinched by a sagging economy, those are nice words, but what's he gonna do about it?"; "the president passed his tax cut to help the economy, now we've got rising unemployment and crashing stock markets, does it sound like it's working to you?". What do you think is going on with him?

No--we don't have that advantage.Still---those who say the Pubs are inarticulate are right with only a few exceptions.

You don't honestly think that Hitlery has a snowball's chance in hell of being president, do you? Bill Clinton had useable weapons in that he was an accomplished liar who could bite his lower lip and smile alot. Hill' couldn't do any of those things even if she wanted to. The only thing that she's ever had working in her favor is the occasional expression of sympathy from those handfuls of dimwits in our population who pity her for being married to such a rogue. But, even that's wearing thin! I may be young, but i'm not stupid- Hillary's a useless dingbat!

I wish I could agree with you, conservativesoutherner, but we conservatives here in New York (all 5 of us), never thought she had a chance of becoming senator either. Useless dingbat or not, she can win! As long as there is fraud in elections Broom Hildary can win.

I agree w/ AlasBabylon. You take this far too personally. I mean, it's perfectly evident to some of us that these 'Rats are not people we'd buy a used car from, let alone elect to run a guv'mint. Yet there are enough mindless idiots out there who buy into their crap year after year. For THOSE people, it DOES have to be pointed out, with big arrows, painted red, etc., etc. - 'til the hypocracy is painfully obvious to everyone.

You don't honestly think that Hitlery has a snowball's chance in hell of being president, do you?

She waltzed her way into a senator's seat. What makes you think the IDIOTS in the media wouldn't give her a pass on running for president? The first person (such as Rick Lazio) who actually asked her to put up or shut up sent her into a fetal position yelling 'i am woman'. Then the pity party for her started and her numbers skyrocketed. It was all manipulation by them for her. Forget the truth! She NEVER had to answer any real questions. She was protected by her thugs and media and it makes me angry that people didn't get to know the truth (that she is clueless!).

I would like someone to ask her how she got to be the smartest woman, top 100 lawyers in the country, without having any real work as an attorney or a real job. She and 'her husband' stole from the teacher's retirement in Arkansas and NEVER had to account for that. The teacher's union still supports her and 'her husband'. Go figure!

Hillary Clinton is more EVIL than her sicko husband. At least he had a past time (even though it was booty) she doesn't want anything but power & money, ANYWAY, ANYHOW, doesn't make any diffference to her. Bill Clinton NEVER had to ask anyone to smear someone for him. She was willing to do it for him. Did anyone EVER ask her about that?

I DON'T like Bill Clinton but I can tell you I would take him in a NEW YORK MINUTE before I would EVER have Hillary Clinton as president of the United States. NEVER, EVER!!! I despise that woman and her protectors. She knew from day one that Bill Clinton was screwing around with women because it never stopped from the first day he met her. She knows it and doesn't care. She rode his coattail to where she wanted and needed to be and will do whatever it takes to get her real prize...PRESIDENT HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON, first woman president of the United States of America. Anyone in her way will pay BIG TIME!

Well, I mean, I understand what you're saying: she won in New York. I was thinking that while I wrote my last response. But, the problem with that theory is that New York does not accurately represent the ideological or moral leanings of the rest of the country. I know it's always difficult to try to imagine what another part of the country or population is like when you aren't around them on a daily basis, but America is not New York. New york is obviously a liberal mecca; America is considerably more conservative. Think about it: in last year's election, Al Gore, who was mistakenely viewed as a centrist due to his moderate past and who was also running during a booming economy and an era of world peace, could not manage to break 50% of the electorate under that best-case scenario. He also had alot more going for him. Bill Clinton had a relatively high approval rating and there weren't any major issues working to Gore's disadvantage. Gore was a better debater than Bush and had a better grasp of details. He was decent-looking and had a nice family. But in the end, he was still toast! What on earth would ever make you think that Hillary Clinton could become president. She's accurately viewed as a liberal- the country is center/right. People don't respond to her personality- she's a cold fish. The public likes populists and common folks- Hillary's viewed as an elitist. Shall I continue...... Look, I don't underestimate either Clinton, but I also don't overestimate them. Yes, Hillary Clinton could be a senator from New York (she already is). But, America aint N.Y.. Let's face it, the only way Hillary Clinton's gonna be President is by revolution!!!

I don't see it! She's a witch. One of the things that I hate about conservatives is the constant pessimism. Someone said something funny the other day: "if you listen to liberal talk radio, they beat up conservatives" and "if you listen to conservative talk radio, they beat up conservatives". Same principle. We sit here and talk about how a liberal is always going to win. Wrong.! I don't think all people are that stupid. I think most folks can be persuaded because I think most people in this country are generally conservative. Bill Clinton was talented at "connecting" with people (he still only got 40+% of the vote). Hillary Clinton is NOT! She'll never be President of the United States. There is, however, a possibility that she will become president of the N.A.G.'s(That's the national association of gals- Rush's loving term for the N.O.W.) She has the perfect personality trait for it- she's a cranky old wench! By the way, you still didn't answer my questions about Snow....

Thanks. I mean, I certainly wasn't trying to tick off CT. My posts are never intended to breed ill will here, only our observations. I guess he either got me wrong, or he really likes Joe Biden! (Just kidding CT :-))

I didn't watch it. I tend to get cranky when I watch the screeming face shows on Sunday morning.

That's really quite understandable! Withdrawl seems the appropriate response to one who views the equivalent of clinical insanity through a television screen. I'm not all together certain why I watch it. Partly, I suppose, to amuse myself, because I find it funny that 600 morons living a thousand miles from my home continue to assume that they are a relevant part of my life (which they're not). Another part of it is probably self-torture. Which I inflict on myself as regularly as possible as punishment for having been a typical gen-x'er and not bothering to vote because of indifference or whatever prevailing excuse might have been trendy at the moment and thereby allowing Bill Clinton to become president. By the time I finally woke up he had already broken laws, dishonored institutions and generally acted like a campus loverboy set loose at a keg party. But the largest part of why I continue to watch these shows is probably because of my astonishment at the bone-headedness of the American press core. Their obnoxious displays of elitism and self-importance. It never ceases to amaze or surprise me. I guess I find them fascinating because they're oblivious to how much they're disliked by people. So I watch. But I also understand why you don't..... probably for the same reasons.

You make some very salient points. My daughter, who travels for a living, often tells me that New York is not the center of the universe. I've often considered it the armpit of the universe, but that's another story. The Clinton's scare me I admit that. It just seems no matter what they keep on winning. Believe me, my friend, I pray nightly that you are right and I am wrong!
