You gotta hand it to the Dems, they're consistently and reliably on-message ... even WHEN their agenda is pro-socialism/anti-America. If the GOP could be even half as good as the Dems are at getting out their message, we'd already have won half the battle. Instead, the GOP works overtime to apologize for its pro-freedom, pro-America agenda ... and to try to be friends with Dems and the media (redundant?) ... so that they're not demonized too badly. It's pathetic. Until the GOP learns to play hardball and masters the Art of the Soundbite, they will continue to be upstaged by the Dem-commie-libs. As Rush says, the Dems MUST be politically steamrolled. There is no other way. You cannot work with ... and compromise with ... a party that is more devoted to the ideology of Karl Marx than they are of Thomas Jefferson. Modern Dems must be treated as the aliens that they are - hostile to American culture and the American way of life.

If South Dakotans don't take care of the commie in their own backyard, they will deserve the scorn of the nation.

You ask why Republicans are being 'blamed' today and Dems are not...Them what's IN always git it! Hey, get used to it - Clinton is gone...he'll show up like a bad penny every once in awhile, but gradually we'll hear little about him. And now it looks like the Condit non-story will disappear when he announces that he'll not run again...ohmigod - now what?

She is the only one who ever seems to answer a question with real words, not sound-bite garbage, which is refreshing.I have now discovered one serious disagreement with Ms.Rice-Denver in the Super Bowl??No way.She is a strong woman who also manages to maintain femininity and a ladylike demeanor unlike the hags on the left-a bunch of screeching, ugly, raucous man-haters whose only use to the world is to induce vomiting.(i.e.Hillary,Rosie,Barbara Boxer,Dianne Feinstein,)

Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del) says China will "modernize" anyway.

Biden also basically said that it is beyond our ability to build an effective missile defense system. His ChiCom buddies must not agree, why else would they threaten build more missiles in order to defeat a system that won't work? I wish Tim would have asked Biden that question.

I find it enlightening when Biden says on MTP, in response to Dick Armey, that he (Joe) is not there to point fingers and engage in partisan bickering, but rather is more concerned about the 1.5 million Americans who lost their jobs due to the (Clinton/Greenspan) economic slowdown. Joe then spends the next few moments telling us how much trouble the Bush tax refund has dealt the economy and how it's all the Republicans fault anyway since the Dems would NEVER hurt Social Security and old folks. But heh, he's not partisan like Armey. No, the Dems only care about poor and elderly Americans. Tim then shows Joe Hillary!'s ugly attack on Bush's economic plan and tax cut. Joe says, well, ya know, Hillary! is only ONE senator, far be it from me to rein her in.

When Timmy finally gets back to Dick he doesn't call Joe on his hipocrasy. That, of all things, is what hurts the Republicans, IMHO. It was obvious that Biden, starting out stating how HE wasn't going to play the blame came, shifted course in less then a minute and started pointing fingers. Anyone watching would have seen it. But neither Timmy nor Dick says anything, they let the hipocrite get away with it.

I guess without a reply most folks forget about it thinking that if the Republicans don't repsond to what they just saw then maybe the democrats are only looking out for them after all, and the Republicans only like to lay blame.

If the GOP could be even half as good as the Dems are at getting out their message, we'd already have won half the battle.

The Dems have a huge advantage in getting their message out because 89% of the media are Democrats. If it was the other way around, we'd have the advantage.

Good point, but I think there is more to it than that. IMHO thre are very few articulate well spoken Republicans. More than that though, is that Republicans are just not as good at "politics" as the Dems. They sit back and take a beating from the other side and very rarely will even defend their positions. For some reason Republicans simply will not get out on the street and proclaim what we believe in and why. They sit back and let the other side define us. That is why were are losing the battle of public opinion,

Joe Biden is a lying sack of excrement. This guy supposedly gives us all insight in his "closed meetings" with the President. Yeah right Joe. You're a jerk.

Heard a clip from Rumsfeld on Tony Snow's show...said he had recommended that President Bush veto the military bill if it is the Rat version with cuts. I won't see this show until this evening, so if anyone has more on that interview, I would appreciate it.

Anyone notice how on Meet The Press how Tim Russert basically made Joe Biden "de facto" admit that Hitlery Klinton was the spokesperson for the Democrats? LOL! Biden tried to back off of it, but he ended up responding anyway!! LOL!

I thought George Step-on-all-of-us was going to KISS Tom Dash-hole on the mouth. He asked NO tough questions, and allowed Dash-hole to sit and lie, lie, lie, and lie.

I have been saying this for years. We have the best 'thinkers' - they have the best 'talkers'. They also LOOK so sincere. Also, as stated elsewhere on this thread, they are constantly on message - they get the 'talking points' and stick to them.

It's nearly impossible to find a Republican who can give the dumbed-down public what they want now - FEELINGS. I hate it, and deplore the fact that it's necessary, but Rush is right - the great masses, particularly females - want to be emotional about an issue. The WH staff and many in the Cabinet are great at their jobs - but Condi Rice (and Colin Powell) is one of the few who can really TALK.

The RNC needs a quick course in communicating effectively. My husband (the economist) says that in 15 minutes last week, Rush did a better job articulating tax cuts/budget 'surplus'/ budget 'cuts'/capital gains than any elected official.

Buchanan was asked by both Blitzer and Cisneros if his opposition to open borders was racially motivated. I would have thrown it right back in Cisneros' face by asking him if he supported amnesty because it's for his brothers in "La Raza".

I hate it when Buchanan makes a liberal look rational. Pat is very articulate and focused, I just wish he would show some support for conservative policies that are possible instead of concentrating on his obsessions.
