One thing that is really weirding me out, is that the first footage we see of Condit back in congress is him hanging out with Howard Berman, Joyce Chiang's former boss. Berman, as we know, is the only congress critter who donated his own money to Condit's 2000 re-election campaign. How spooky is that, that they are still best buds and together in the halls?

Very spooky, very unsettling.

Condit exaggerated the length of a train trip from D.C. to Modesto btw. It's only 3 days long. I am curious if the police really buy his train trip explanation for not calling Chandra Levy. He calls Anne Marie Smith every day, so from the 29th through the 6th, a period of 8 days, he doesn't call Chandra because she is on a 3 day train trip?

Hello???? Anybody home at the D.C. Police? What we can not forget is that the parents try every day from the 6th through the 10th to get the Police to enter Chandra's apartment. Aunt Linda told the police on May 9th that Chandra dated Condit, and about the no ID rule. The police find out the next day, on the 10th, that Chandra is gone, and that she left her ID behind. I am not exactly Columbo here. This isn't rocket science. Condit at that point was the very obvious prime suspect from that day forward til they cleared him. They sat on their hands though.

It took until mid-june til they found out Condit's wife was in town, and that was because Joseph Cotchett inadvertantly blurted it out. It took them til late June til Condit voluntarily released a timeline. They wait 4 weeks to question Rebecca Cooper AFTER the timeline is released.

This is so pathetic it would be funny if this young woman probably wasn't dead.
