In case you don't understand Conservative principles, let me clarify something for you. The government and especially the preident is NOT responsible for anyone having or keeping a job. That's called SOCIALISM.

Whom, outside of his cabninet and advisors has President Bush " looked ou for " / made sure they has a job ? The ILLEGALS ? Nope. Who then is he " looking out for " ?

Do you realize how pathetic your post sounds ?

Many people are being laid off right now in this country and he wants to help people who have NO allegiance to this country.

Come on Rick, those illegal aliens crossing the boarder are NOT stealing the jobs of the Dot.coms that went belly up. I don’t like the reported positions on illegal aliens at all and if they turn out to be true I will be critical however, I live by the 80% rule when it comes to politics, if I get even 60% of the issues addressed that I feel are important I am happy, if I get 80% I am in “hog heaven”.

Yes, you have nailed them. The fringers are " dog in the manger " supposed Conservatives. Some here, during the election season just passed, were actually praying that GORE would win.

They are masichists. If they were living several centuries ago, they would have been flagellants.

Their vaunted " principles " , and their selfrighteouness , is only a cloak, behind which stand spoilded , petulant children who can only strike out at the grownups.

Change "Could you" to "I need to" and your post makes some sense.

The trouble with such blanket statements is that you have no idea who you're talking to. I was a dyed in the wool, rock-ribbed straight-ticket Republican since 1980. I volunteered my time, served in party offices and attended party conventions. I interned in the U.S. Senate for a man whom most of you would consider to be a rightwing conservative. I gave as freely of my money as I did my time. So I take a back-seat to no one in promoting the Republican party. My only fault was that it took 20 years to finally realize what a farce it all was.

As for not being pleased with anyone, I'd be pleased as punch if Alan Keyes, or Howard Phillips, or even Buchanan ever actually got into high office -- but they're not perfect, either -- not by a long shot. (They won't be elected, of course.) I think Ron Paul pretty much walks on water, as did Tom Coburn of Oklahoma's 2nd district. I think Jim Inhofe, one of my current senators, does a pretty fair job. So, the "perfectionist unappeasable" label fails for me also.

In fact, I'd even be moderately satisified if Duh-bya (obviously one of the dumbest men to ever be elected, by the way) even TRIED to do something conservative. When he announced the return of the Mexico City policy, I was pretty surprised -- weak and ineffectual though it was, it was more than I expected for a man who is so wishy-washy on pro-life. But that's about all we'll get out of the guy, I've no doubt.

So direct your bile elsewhere. You've obviously confused me with someone else. And in the meantime, have a nice evening.

Did Bush go after the wrongs of the prior Administration?

I know Bush is a good man, I know he has good values, and I know he loves this country and all its people.

I will have to admit you know more than I do. Now calm down a little.

Could you grow up ?

I am far from " hysterical ". newbie. What is hysterical is that a bunch of people without the slightest idea about reality, come here and try to pretend that they are the authorities on politics.

I don't guess there is a solution, voting wise that is, it's a deadend street. You tell me.

The solution is simple, either vote your "conscience" on a single issue and resign yourself to letting the world pass you by OR learn from the Liberals and concede that it just may take more than 8 months or even an entire administration to turn things around. I can vividly remember the same attacks from the right against Ronald Reagan in his first term. The conservative movement in this country is, and always has been a circular firing squad.

No!

Then you can lay no claim to being a Christian. In fact I would bet a large sum of money that you are a Liberal Democrat.
