What an onslaught of personal, harshly negative invective being spewing forth daily from the Left and their comrades in the elitist media!
Its been non-stop, at a near-dizzying pace on any issue they think will gain traction.
And all of this from the very same hypocrites who so vehemently and falsely charge Republicans with being mean-spirited and evil.
It shouldnt come as any surprise, because the Left knows no decency and has no shame. What is amazing is the relentless and desperate nature of the attacks.
From the economy (read: Clintons recession, which began in October) to Kyoto (which the Senate turned away by a unanimous vote) to the ABM Treaty (which ceased to have any relevance when the U.S.S.R. disintegrated) to missile defense (which frightens the Russians, the communist Chinese and their friends at the New York Times) to the surplus (which should be returned to taxpayers, especially during a slow down) to the Middle East conflict (which the President wisely has maintained must first be realistically addressed by the parties themselves before U.S. involvement) to the Presidents supposed "lack of intelligence (notwithstanding that he graduated from both Yale and Harvard, unlike Junior Gore who flunked out of divinity school and mysteriously left law school) to any other issue, real or imagined, the Left attempts to bang the President about the head and shoulders in a sick attempt to belittle him.
The President, to his great credit, hasnt allowed any of these attacks by the Leftist elite to affect his policy considerations a single iota. He has a strong sense of self, something sorely lacking on the Left, which bolsters him amid this smelly chorus of personal disparagement and seems to steel his resolve.
There is a valuable lesson to be learned from George W. Bush: ignore the Left and do whats right by the people. Republicans in Congress and elected office at the state and local levels should follow his lead, for all too often they seek to please their natural enemies rather than working to best them by enacting their agendas.
Thats the best way to deal with the Left: by simply ignoring them and moving forward, leaving them squealing in our dust, to the delight of a grateful electorate.
Whom, outside of his cabninet and advisors has President Bush " looked ou for " / made sure they has a job ? The ILLEGALS ? Nope. Who then is he " looking out for " ?
Do you realize how pathetic your post sounds ?
Oh no...he didn't really say this...did he. LOL!
Come on Rick, those illegal aliens crossing the boarder are NOT stealing the jobs of the Dot.coms that went belly up. I dont like the reported positions on illegal aliens at all and if they turn out to be true I will be critical however, I live by the 80% rule when it comes to politics, if I get even 60% of the issues addressed that I feel are important I am happy, if I get 80% I am in hog heaven.
They are masichists. If they were living several centuries ago, they would have been flagellants.
Their vaunted " principles " , and their selfrighteouness , is only a cloak, behind which stand spoilded , petulant children who can only strike out at the grownups.
Change "Could you" to "I need to" and your post makes some sense.
But hey, go on thinking that you know everything and could do better. he fringe candidates can't get elected dog catcher, but THEY can run this country ? Okay, sure, yep, un hunh ... NOT !
Yes...I would say you need to. Good thinking.
As for not being pleased with anyone, I'd be pleased as punch if Alan Keyes, or Howard Phillips, or even Buchanan ever actually got into high office -- but they're not perfect, either -- not by a long shot. (They won't be elected, of course.) I think Ron Paul pretty much walks on water, as did Tom Coburn of Oklahoma's 2nd district. I think Jim Inhofe, one of my current senators, does a pretty fair job. So, the "perfectionist unappeasable" label fails for me also.
In fact, I'd even be moderately satisified if Duh-bya (obviously one of the dumbest men to ever be elected, by the way) even TRIED to do something conservative. When he announced the return of the Mexico City policy, I was pretty surprised -- weak and ineffectual though it was, it was more than I expected for a man who is so wishy-washy on pro-life. But that's about all we'll get out of the guy, I've no doubt.
So direct your bile elsewhere. You've obviously confused me with someone else. And in the meantime, have a nice evening.
I will have to admit you know more than I do. Now calm down a little.
I am far from " hysterical ". newbie. What is hysterical is that a bunch of people without the slightest idea about reality, come here and try to pretend that they are the authorities on politics.
The solution is simple, either vote your "conscience" on a single issue and resign yourself to letting the world pass you by OR learn from the Liberals and concede that it just may take more than 8 months or even an entire administration to turn things around. I can vividly remember the same attacks from the right against Ronald Reagan in his first term. The conservative movement in this country is, and always has been a circular firing squad.
Then you can lay no claim to being a Christian. In fact I would bet a large sum of money that you are a Liberal Democrat.
Like what?
