"Clindit." The combo name has a vague but appropriate indecency to it. Even those who repudiate the parallelism are compelled to run a sort of check-off list to reassure themselves that there isn't any real comparison between Gary Condit and Bill Clinton. (And it must say something about the "legacy" of our most recent ex-president that this uncouth auction of comparable features is most forcibly suggested by mentions of the suborning of perjury and the obstruction of justice.) How far may the analogy be extended?

I got some interesting info on FOXNews this a.m. Apparently Dickie Gephardt has been meeting with some Reps.(whose names were kept secret) about Condit. Wonder why the secrecy? Are these some of the Reps. in the alleged sex party circle? Is Gephardt really dumb enough to think those names will stay secret?

And Fox's camera crew caught two of Billy Martin's investigators leaving the Hill yesterday after visiting offices there? Who were they there to see? Were they asking about Condit or about the people Gephardt was meeting with?

I have a sneaking suspicion Condit is going to take a lot of Congress critters down with him whether he intends to or not. Goody.

Anybody notice that "Dickie" is now being called "Richard" by newspeople? I wonder if that's by his request - didn't like being referred to as "Little Dick" anymore ;-)

That's what B-1 Bob Dornan has been saying - that he's got the goods on a lot of them, and that's why there's so little call for him to resign.

Mr. Condit has not used public money or public officials (let alone cruise missiles against Sudan) in order to protect himself from scrutiny.

Ahem, using his chief of staff qualifies as using a public official to protect himself. He tried to use campaign contributions for his legal fees. If he could have found a way to launch cruise missiles, he would have.

He's as despicable as clintbilly, just as scheming, but not as lucky.

I love Christopher Hitchens when he goes after clintbilly.

Well, if folks think the sharks off of Florida are a problem...Can you imagine the feeding frenzy to get to be the first with the dirt on Condidit's perv circle? Boy, if they thought a flight attendant would sell tabs, how about "Condit's Congresswoman Sex-Slave Tells of Her Ties To Condit"...

I have developed a new term of late that I notice is becoming a habit. I catch myself calling certain people "bill clinton" I didnt pay much attention to it till I caught myself applying the term to two of my sons friends. I did not say anything to anyone but in my mind I have both of these 10 year olds pegged as bill clintons when I normally would have just thought of them eddie haskells

I don't think he is, anymore. Amphetemines, probably, but not coke. It'd be too much for someone in the spotlight as much as he is.

Clinton is unequivically self-centered. This is why he succeeds where others fail. There are many reasons for this, but he has developed a singlular lack of guilt for his actions. Everything he does is right because he does it. Condit still has pangs and twinges of guilt.

Clinton is a rare bird, indeed.

He's right--Condidit is "Clinton Lite," "Diet Clinton," "The Margarine of Clintons", etc. LOLOLOLOL.

While Hitchens can be a real Brit Twit, he is, alas, an honest liberal. He was way out in front of many media pundits in seeing the Clintons for what we all know them to be.

Well, not counting the unverified story of two teens who escaped to Alaska, at least Clindidit II Crown Prince was into consensual fun and games, even if some of them, like the stuff they did with the M&M's, could result in accidental death and dismemberment by a Haitian transvestite biker.
