American Green Beret Vet TED MAHER Held HOSTAGE by Monaco for 629 Days (Thread 6)

American Green Beret veteran and accomplished neonatal nurse Ted Maher has now been held 537 days without trial in Monaco's prison on trumped-up and false charges -- charges of causing the deaths of billionaire banker Edmond Safra and Ted's fellow nurse, Vivian Torrente on December 3, 1999. In truth, Ted fought valiantly against two armed, masked intruders to defend Edmond and Vivian and save their lives. During the struggle, Ted suffered severe knife wounds that required one hundred staples to close.

Billionaire banker Edmond Safra was cooperating with the FBI, who was investigating the IMF/Russian loans. Needing a convenient scapegoat for the murder of Safra, Monaco police subjected Ted to three days of grueling torture designed to extort a false confession from him. (see description in "BASIC TIMELINE" in Thread 1 - http://206.112.97.70/forum/a3ad8b097272d.htm ).

Monaco continues to hold Ted incommunicado, preventing him from sending or receiving mail. In fact, they restrict his communication with his family to one telephone call a week. This call is only allowed to last a few minutes and is always monitored closely to prevent any discussion of the case. Ted is forced by his jailers to take a psychotropic medication and is regularly "interrogated" by the Monaco judge -- Patricia Richet. Reports have been received that Judge Richet is a violent person who has displayed unstable behavior in the past. She allegedly has a history of assaulting a fellow judge, putting him in the hospital for a week. She also tears up letters from Ted's children in front of Ted rather than let him read them.

Hundreds of family, friends, work associates, parents of patients, and Army veterans who served with Ted have vouched for him as being a loyal husband, loving father, and an exemplary professional of great skill and compassion. Ted has also been defended by then-chairman of the House International Relations Committee Ben Gilman and Ted's congresswoman Sue Kelly, who have written Prince Rainier III of Monaco on Ted's behalf. Monaco has no evidence of any crime by Ted; they have no witnesses and no credible case against him. Even worse, Monaco has planted false evidence and suppressed vast amounts of exculpatory evidence -- even passing a special Monaco law that enables them to hold Ted four years without trial.

The Geneva prosecutor has said that Safra was killed for his cooperation with the FBI regarding the laundering through Safra's Republic National Bank of $4.8 billion in IMF loans to Russia.

Regardless of the reason "why," it is obvious that Ted Maher is a scapegoat for a murder by others. We are working to obtain his release and to correct the grave injustice being done to an American Green beret veteran and medical professional.

Re: the numbers.

Lets hope that I do not have to pick another number to start a new thread with. The next Ted Maher thread I wish to post to will be the one where I get to say simply "Welcome home." That of course will be after Heidi and his kids get to hug him.

In the interim if people want to razz me about the "unique numbering system" I am using I will merely take it as another bump. I will not bother to explain it is the result of the new encrytion technology program I am working on that occaisionally still does not yet decipher numbers proprely but is so advanced it will render all of the NSA programs obsolete.

So Nita you think anyone will buy my explanation :^)

According to an earlier Vanity Fair article of Dominick Dunne, Lily paid Sonia one hundred thousand dollars in a "confidentiality agreement".

Sonia is the sole earwitness to the alleged calls by Edmond Safra and Vivian Torrente in their final hours of life.

Yet in Sonia's three depositions in the Monaco fire report, her accounts are contradictory--and, sacre bleu, the cell phone records are suppressed. Go figure.

There are credible accounts of "trauma to the throat" on the body of Vivian Torrente. Was she strangled or given a karate chop or punch to crush her larynx? How could Sonia understand her if she was so injured? Does Sonia possess extrasensory perception? Or did Vivian send Sonia a message from beyond the plane of light?

Vivian is in New Jersey, six feet under, and did not respond to our request for an interview.

As for accounts that Edmond Safra had been shot, we have only erratic glimpses: the Monaco fire report refers repeatedly to police logs stating "called out on report of man shot", and further radio traffic, as well as European press and internet references. But that would be too great a parallel to the fate of Lily's second husband Alfredo "Freddy" Monteverde who committed "suicide" in Brazil in the mid-seventies leaving her two hundred twenty million dollars (by one account)--depressed, he shot himself in the heart TWICE. [Imagine, he was TWICE as depressed as Vince Foster--what is it about the equatorial tropics that so intensifies emotion?]

Edmond Safra had yearned to be buried in Israel according to reports, yet Lily buried him in Geneva.

Picture this: you are dying of smoke inhalation. Do you lie on the floor with wet towels over your head? Monaco would have us believe that Edmond sat in a chair and expired there.

I have been in just the one apartment fire. The pain in your chest from the thick black smoke is like a kick from some crazy mule. To sit placidly and expire? Who writes these scripts?

The fire report indicates multiple points of ignition--and a "sudden conflagration at six a.m."--but wait: At that time Ted was in Princess Grace Hospital receiving one hundred staples and multiple transfusions to save his life from the knife attacks of the two masked intruders--so who set the fires, Clouseau? Who made the 8-inch/20-centimeter diameter hole in the Category 3 "bulletproof" glass composed of four layers totalling an inch and a quarter in thickness? The Monaco fire report states repeatedly that firemen were unable to break the glass.

And they were unable to open the steel roller blinds on Edmond Safra's side of the penthouse--yet Lily "escaped" through her raised blinds without problem--such luck.

Three locksmiths testified the doors (with their vaunted 3mm of manganese steel) were never locked.

Two dead people behind unlocked doors not trying to escape the smoke yet having conversations with the bought-off straw boss of the lucky widow.

Who writes these scripts?

Why aren't Georges Blot, Donald Manasse and Michael Griffith demanding to know why the Monaco police had to kidnap Ted's wife and threaten their children to force him to sign a false confession?

Has somebody over there made them all offers they can't refuse?

After all, the Geneva prosecutor, Henry Kissinger and Anne Williamson have said we're not in Kansas anymore. . . .
