Got it. Don't bother pinging....start driving. I'm going to go get some work done around here. I was hardly at home today and it looks like it! I'll be back, Lord willing!!!

Ooh, I have lots of zucchini recipes too. Put a cup of zucchini in a chocolate cake, yummy, and it is moist. Fried zucchini, zucchini succotash, stuffed zucchini...I remember one late summer and early fall I lived on variations of zucchini while I was in college.

Thank you, Utah Girl for the new thread!
Molly! I will be watching!!!
Dog ... the other night I was taking my pup for a walk when we came upon a small, little dog ... I do not know what breed ~~~
Anyway ... this little widget thought to take a snip out of my ... now ... 198 pound pup!
My pup stepped back ... puzzled, he was ... truly! He had this look on his face as if to say ..."What are you thinking?!"
And then he took his massive paw and just slapped the little guy silly
POL! No growling ... just a a sucker punch ...
LOL!!! I laughed all night over it ... the little ditzty dog reminded me of el loco-poco-dicko ... *grins*
No wasted motion on my pup's part ... sorta like our President. *grins*

I lived on variations of zucchini while I was in college.I will never touch oatmeal again for a similar reason. Blech. But it was cheap. In 50 lb bags.

I'lll never touch Ramen noodles for the same reason. I could get Ramen noodles 18 for $1.00. Cheap meals, but after two years I could barely look them in the face. Still can't eat them.

My Hubby will not eat zucchini. We had soooo many one year, I made tons of zucchini bread. Fooled him....I told him it was banana bread. He ate it and liked it. :-) Couldn't even tell the difference.

Didja' hear? Wife and I are rescuing a new pup (we pick her up Friday). She's a lab/great dane mix. Tall dog, but she's very sweet. The rescue place called and spoke with our vet today, and we were highly recommended. (since we're putting the vet's daughters through college) GRIN!

I forgot about zucchini bread. I love zucchini bread, with a little bit of cream cheese spread on it. Mmmmm.

I have a friend who rescues greyhound race dogs. I never realized the abject conditions those poor dogs live in while they are racing. She has kept two of the dogs, and has fostered several others until the eventual new owners can claim them. I do not like people who mistreat animals.

Will you two please STOP THIS??????? I come back, hit Refresh and wham. I'm hit with FOOD TALK. Do you have the foggiest idea how hungry I am??????????????

I'd like to know what's up with our basil. We planted in spring, and a month later, it topped out and went away. It came back about a month ago, and shows no sign of topping out. Just producing lots of pretty leaves. The cilantro is all gone. :>( The tomato
plants are thriving like crazy, but nary a tomato to be seen. Volunteer musk-mellons are innundating the house, but the cukes are bitter like an Ex. Bad gardening year for us. And confusing.

Just ant to warn you about those big dogs. They WILL want to sleep in your bed. Ha!

I've got a German Shepherd. One of our daughters moved back in, temporarily, and brought her miniature dachsund. Now that's fun to watch, too. The Shepherd is surprisingly gentle with the little one. Ya wonder how they know...

POL about pup and the squirt. I had a similar experience with Alex. He was in the front yard and saw a pomeranian across the street.
Well as fast as you can say s**t, he was running over to him in an attack mode. I was terrified that Alex was going to kill the little dog, but once he got there, he just got in the poms face and growled.

I did hear, kd ... he's a lucky fellow, he is. *grins*

keep the power tools away from him, though... HAR!

They WILL want to sleep in your bedWhich is fine by me. When I was single (and more frugal) I slept on a cot. Randy (my current dawg) slept on it with me. All 86 lbs of him. After I got married, something changed. Randy sleeps outside. If I complain, so do I. GRIN!

John...while we have many tomatoes and cukes...they don't seem to have the sweet flavor I enjoy. Still good tasting though and without a doubt much better than store bought.
Now...what I want to know is....what's a mean spirited conservative doing adopting a pup? *grins* Bless you for that.
