Winning the Midterms Could Be the Democrats' Biggest Mistake

November 3 will ultimately determine how much outrage and punishment the American people will have to endure over the next two years.

However, I see a political trap developing for Democrats, and the irony is that winning on November 3 might be just as damaging to their future as losing.

In my view, either outcome could leave them facing defeat in 2028.

The difference is what happens to America during the next two years.

How much political warfare? How many investigations? How much outrage and congressional gridlock?

How much suffering Americans will be forced to endure…

π—ͺπ—œπ—‘ 𝗒π—₯ π—Ÿπ—’π—¦π—˜, π——π—˜π— π—’π—–π—₯𝗔𝗧𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗬 π—•π—˜ π—™π—”π—–π—œπ—‘π—š 𝗔 𝗑𝗒-π—ͺπ—œπ—‘ π—¦π—–π—˜π—‘π—”π—₯π—œπ—’.

Follow along, because I think you’ll understand what I mean.

Democrats have become remarkably predictable creatures. Their outrage and anger make their political strategy relatively easy to anticipate. But that same outrage may also be blinding them to the consequences of their own decisions.

They’ve become so consumed with Donald Trump, so determined to defeat him at any cost, that I question whether they’ve given much thought to what happens after the election.

π—§π—›π—˜π—¬β€™π—©π—˜ π—¦π—£π—˜π—‘π—§ π—¬π—˜π—”π—₯𝗦 π—§π—›π—œπ—‘π—žπ—œπ—‘π—š 𝗔𝗕𝗒𝗨𝗧 𝗛𝗒π—ͺ 𝗧𝗒 𝗦𝗧𝗒𝗣 π——π—’π—‘π—”π—Ÿπ—— 𝗧π—₯𝗨𝗠𝗣.

Because November 4 could be the beginning of a political nightmare they never anticipated.

I’m hopeful that November 3 will bring a red wave. I believe in the American people. I believe they understand what’s at stake and are capable of looking beyond the political noise.

But I’m not going to pretend this election is a sure thing.

It’s close. Very close. And we’ve already seen places like Alaska where Democrats are willing to cheat in order to win.

There’s also a reason the president’s party so often loses congressional seats during midterm elections.

π—”π— π—˜π—₯π—œπ—–π—”π—‘π—¦ 𝗔π—₯π—˜ π—œπ— π—£π—”π—§π—œπ—˜π—‘π—§.

We’ve become accustomed to lavish lifestyles and immediate gratification. We live in an Amazon age of π—œ π—ͺ𝗔𝗑𝗧 π—œπ—§, 𝗔𝗑𝗗 π—œ π—ͺ𝗔𝗑𝗧 π—œπ—§ 𝗑𝗒π—ͺ! Same-day shipping. Instant answers. Everything at our fingertips.

And I believe that culture has encouraged both impatience and ignorance about how long meaningful change actually takes.

We elect a president expecting results almost immediately. And when they don’t arrive fast enough, we become frustrated.

But governing a nation isn’t like ordering a package online. Real change takes time, and sometimes voters punish an administration before its policies have even had an opportunity to produce results.

Which brings me to a potentially terrifying possibility.

π—ͺ𝗛𝗔𝗧 π—œπ—™ π——π—˜π— π—’π—–π—₯𝗔𝗧𝗦 π—”π—–π—§π—¨π—”π—Ÿπ—Ÿπ—¬ π—ͺπ—œπ—‘?

There’s an old saying:

π—•π—˜ 𝗖𝗔π—₯π—˜π—™π—¨π—Ÿ π—ͺ𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗬𝗒𝗨 π—ͺπ—œπ—¦π—› 𝗙𝗒π—₯. 𝗬𝗒𝗨 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 π— π—œπ—šπ—›π—§ π—šπ—˜π—§ π—œπ—§.

And I don’t believe Democrats have thought this through. Their fixation on Donald Trump is so severe that I question whether they’ve considered the consequences of actually gaining power.

Stop Trump. Oppose Trump. Investigate Trump. Reverse Trump.

But have they considered the consequences of succeeding?

π—¦π—§π—’π—£π—£π—œπ—‘π—š π——π—’π—‘π—”π—Ÿπ—— 𝗧π—₯𝗨𝗠𝗣 𝗠𝗔𝗬 π—”π—–π—§π—¨π—”π—Ÿπ—Ÿπ—¬ 𝗣π—₯π—’π—©π—˜ 𝗧𝗒 π—•π—˜ π—§π—›π—˜π—œπ—₯ π—šπ—₯π—˜π—”π—§π—˜π—¦π—§ π—™π—”π—œπ—Ÿπ—¨π—₯π—˜.

They may have succeeded in creating the illusion that Trump’s policies have failed. But if they win, they’ll be held accountable not only for the changes they make, but also for the changes they don’t.

And that’s the double-edged sword.

As the opposition, Democrats can criticize every policy, every decision, and every outcome.

But as the congressional majority, voters will also expect them to produce results.

Suddenly, complaining about Donald Trump won’t be enough. They’ll have to explain what they’ve accomplished, what they’ve prevented, and why the promises they made haven’t necessarily become reality.

𝗔𝗑𝗗 π—œ 𝗗𝗒𝗑’𝗧 π—§π—›π—œπ—‘π—ž π—§π—›π—˜π—¬ 𝗦𝗔π—ͺ π—œπ—§ π—–π—’π— π—œπ—‘π—š.

What happens if Democrats succeed in reversing Trump’s policies, only to discover that some were far more effective than they were willing to admit?

π—ͺπ—œπ—Ÿπ—Ÿ π—§π—›π—˜π—¬ π——π—œπ—¦π—–π—’π—©π—˜π—₯ 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 π—–π—’π— π—£π—Ÿπ—”π—œπ—‘π—œπ—‘π—š 𝗔𝗕𝗒𝗨𝗧 π——π—’π—‘π—”π—Ÿπ—— 𝗧π—₯𝗨𝗠𝗣 π—œπ—¦ 𝗙𝗔π—₯ π—˜π—”π—¦π—œπ—˜π—₯ 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗑 π—šπ—’π—©π—˜π—₯π—‘π—œπ—‘π—š?

Let’s take a look.

Imagine waking up November 4 to the announcement that Democrats have taken both the House and Senate. Champagne! Celebrations! Victory speeches!

And then reality sets in.

Imagine the next two years of Washington practically paralyzed by political warfare.

Congressional investigations. Subpoenas. Impeachment threats. Endless accusations.

Television networks covering every confrontation. Social media exploding with outrage.

Imagine β€œpeaceful protests” filling the evening news, with buildings burning in the background. Another so-called β€œsummer of love.”

Politicians attacking one another while American taxpayers continue paying their salaries.

Businesses facing uncertainty. Legislation stalled. Campaign promises unfulfilled.

𝗧π—ͺ𝗒 π—¬π—˜π—”π—₯𝗦 𝗒𝗙 π—£π—’π—Ÿπ—œπ—§π—œπ—–π—”π—Ÿ 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗒𝗦, π—£π—”π—œπ—— 𝗙𝗒π—₯ 𝗕𝗬 π—§π—›π—˜ π—”π— π—˜π—₯π—œπ—–π—”π—‘ π—§π—”π—«π—£π—”π—¬π—˜π—₯.

And sitting in the Oval Office?

Donald Trump.

Still president. Still commander in chief. Still holding the power to veto legislation.

Democrats may control Congress, but they won’t control the presidency.

And governing requires something considerably more difficult than campaigning.

Understanding economics. Geopolitics. International negotiations. Military strategy.

The United States is one of the largest and most complex economies in the world.

Winning an election doesn’t automatically make someone wise, intelligent, competent, or capable of leadership. An election changes a person’s title. It doesn’t change their character.

π—ͺπ—œπ—‘π—‘π—œπ—‘π—š 𝗔𝗑 π—˜π—Ÿπ—˜π—–π—§π—œπ—’π—‘ π——π—’π—˜π—¦π—‘β€™π—§ π—–π—›π—”π—‘π—šπ—˜ π—ͺ𝗛𝗒 𝗬𝗒𝗨 𝗔π—₯π—˜. 𝗔𝗑𝗗 π—œπ—§ π—–π—˜π—₯π—§π—”π—œπ—‘π—Ÿπ—¬ π——π—’π—˜π—¦π—‘β€™π—§ π—§π—˜π—”π—–π—› 𝗬𝗒𝗨 𝗛𝗒π—ͺ 𝗧𝗒 π—šπ—’π—©π—˜π—₯𝗑.

And that’s before we even begin discussing tariffs, immigration, healthcare, government spending, or the war with Iran.

Every issue carries consequences. Every promise comes with a price.

A Democratic Congress could negotiate legislation, approve spending, and exercise oversight. But passing its own agenda would still require dealing with a Republican president who holds the veto pen.

And that creates a problem.

If Democrats promise sweeping changes and cannot deliver them, voters may not be interested in hearing excuses about Donald Trump.

π—§π—›π—˜π—¬ π—ͺ𝗒𝗑 𝗖𝗒𝗑𝗧π—₯π—’π—Ÿ 𝗒𝗙 π—–π—’π—‘π—šπ—₯π—˜π—¦π—¦. 𝗑𝗒π—ͺ π—ͺ𝗛𝗔𝗧?

Of course, there is one power a congressional majority could choose to emphasize instead.

And that’s where things become particularly fascinating.

π—œπ— π—£π—˜π—”π—–π—›π— π—˜π—‘π—§.

Suppose Democrats win the House and decide to impeach Donald Trump.

They can do that with a simple majority.

Terrific.

Now remove him.

Oh, wait.

That requires a two-thirds vote in the Senate. Sixty-seven senators if all 100 are present.

So imagine months of hearings, accusations, investigations, and political theater.

And at the end?

π——π—’π—‘π—”π—Ÿπ—— 𝗧π—₯𝗨𝗠𝗣 π—œπ—¦ π—¦π—§π—œπ—Ÿπ—Ÿ 𝗣π—₯π—˜π—¦π—œπ——π—˜π—‘π—§.

But let’s imagine something extraordinary.

π—ͺ𝗛𝗔𝗧 π—œπ—™ π—§π—›π—˜π—¬ π—”π—–π—§π—¨π—”π—Ÿπ—Ÿπ—¬ π—¦π—¨π—–π—–π—˜π—˜π——π—˜π——?

What if enough Republicans joined Democrats to convict and remove Donald Trump?

Would Trump automatically go to prison?

No. Impeachment isn’t a criminal conviction. He leaves office.

And who becomes president?

𝗝𝗗 π—©π—”π—‘π—–π—˜.

That’s right.

The man who could very well become the Republican presidential nominee in 2028.

Except now he isn’t campaigning as a former vice president.

π—›π—˜β€™π—¦ π—–π—”π— π—£π—”π—œπ—šπ—‘π—œπ—‘π—š 𝗔𝗦 π—§π—›π—˜ π—œπ—‘π—–π—¨π— π—•π—˜π—‘π—§ 𝗣π—₯π—˜π—¦π—œπ——π—˜π—‘π—§ 𝗒𝗙 π—§π—›π—˜ π—¨π—‘π—œπ—§π—˜π—— π—¦π—§π—”π—§π—˜π—¦.

So if Democrats were to succeed in impeaching and removing Donald Trump, they would have handed the White House to JD Vance.

Again, I don’t think for a moment they thought any of this through.

That’s what happens when political decisions are driven by blind rage.

π—œπ—§β€™π—¦ π—₯π—œπ—šπ—›π—§ π—§π—›π—˜π—₯π—˜ π—œπ—‘ π—§π—›π—˜ π—‘π—”π— π—˜. π—₯π—”π—šπ—˜ π— π—”π—žπ—˜π—¦ 𝗬𝗒𝗨 π—•π—Ÿπ—œπ—‘π——.

He has the remainder of Trump’s term to establish his record, demonstrate his leadership, and build public confidence.

And who might still be offering him advice? Donald Trump.

No longer president, but hardly disappearing from American politics.

And what happens if Democrats discover that removing Trump hasn’t eliminated the policies or political movement they opposed?

π—§π—›π—˜ 𝗒𝗨𝗧π—₯π—”π—šπ—˜ 𝗦𝗧𝗔π—₯𝗧𝗦 π—”π—Ÿπ—Ÿ π—’π—©π—˜π—₯ π—”π—šπ—”π—œπ—‘.

Only this time, JD Vance becomes the villain. New accusations. New investigations. Perhaps even new impeachment proceedings.

π—–π—›π—”π—‘π—šπ—˜ π—§π—›π—˜ 𝗣π—₯π—˜π—¦π—œπ——π—˜π—‘π—§. π—žπ—˜π—˜π—£ π—§π—›π—˜ 𝗒𝗨𝗧π—₯π—”π—šπ—˜. π—₯π—˜π—£π—˜π—”π—§ π—§π—›π—˜ 𝗣π—₯π—’π—–π—˜π—¦π—¦.

But imagine Democrats spending years trying to remove Donald Trump, finally succeeding, and potentially handing the next Republican presidential candidate the advantages of incumbency.

They could hold hearings.

They could threaten impeachment.

They could attempt to block his policies.

But the more time they spend fighting Donald Trump, the less time they’ll have to demonstrate that their own ideas can deliver results.

And eventually, somebody is going to ask a much more important question.

π—ͺ𝗛𝗔𝗧 π——π—œπ—— 𝗬𝗒𝗨 π—”π—–π—§π—¨π—”π—Ÿπ—Ÿπ—¬ π—”π—–π—–π—’π— π—£π—Ÿπ—œπ—¦π—› 𝗙𝗒π—₯ π—§π—›π—˜ π—”π— π—˜π—₯π—œπ—–π—”π—‘ π—£π—˜π—’π—£π—Ÿπ—˜?

Because pointing fingers across the aisle isn’t going to pay the grocery bill, lower insurance premiums, build factories, or end wars.

And if Democrats control Congress, they’ll have to answer for their decisions as well as their opposition.

π—ͺπ—œπ—‘π—‘π—œπ—‘π—š π—§π—›π—˜ π—˜π—Ÿπ—˜π—–π—§π—œπ—’π—‘ 𝗠𝗔𝗬 π—•π—˜ π—§π—›π—˜ π—˜π—”π—¦π—¬ 𝗣𝗔π—₯𝗧. 𝗦𝗨π—₯π—©π—œπ—©π—œπ—‘π—š π—§π—›π—˜ π—–π—’π—‘π—¦π—˜π—€π—¨π—˜π—‘π—–π—˜π—¦ 𝗒𝗙 π—ͺπ—œπ—‘π—‘π—œπ—‘π—š?

That could be an entirely different story.

But November 3 is still ahead of us.

And I haven’t lost faith in the American people.

I believe voters understand what’s at stake. I believe they recognize the possibility of congressional gridlock, escalating hostility, and promises that may never be fulfilled.

The patterns are there. In my view, they’ve been developing for more than a decade.

The investigations. The hostility. The political division. The seemingly endless determination to defeat an opponent rather than persuade the American people with better ideas.

And if Democrats win these midterms, I fear the political turmoil I’ve described could become our reality for the next two years.

Not because it was inevitable.

But because the American people chose the representatives who would help shape it.

π—˜π—Ÿπ—˜π—–π—§π—œπ—’π—‘π—¦ π—›π—”π—©π—˜ π—–π—’π—‘π—¦π—˜π—€π—¨π—˜π—‘π—–π—˜π—¦. 𝗔𝗑𝗗 𝗦𝗒 𝗗𝗒 π—§π—›π—˜ π—£π—˜π—’π—£π—Ÿπ—˜ π—ͺπ—˜ π—˜π—Ÿπ—˜π—–π—§.

The American people still get to decide.

And if Democrats win on November 3, I fear they won’t stop at going after Donald Trump.

They won’t stop at politicians.

This was written before the election, but just came across my wall today. Its point is even more salient now that we know the Democrats won big.

They will do nothing to help the American people, nor do they care to. They are so obsessed with their hatred of Trump -- and yes, that is the right word for it -- that they don't care what the fallout is, nor what the side effects are, as long as the can destroy lives (not just careers.) The more, the better. To the point that I no longer feel safe in this country.

The more harm they do us, the more we suffer. The more we suffer, the more dependent we are on government. The more dependent we are on government, the more people vote for the Big Government party. The more people vote for their party, the more power, money, and sex they have. So making us suffer benefits them. And they know it.

Their hate for Trump and eveyrone around him and all his supporters or anyone they decide was a supporter is totalizing and consuming, so if it harms the people, that's not their problem.

But could very well be a BIG problem for them in 2028.

I remember the Red Wave of 1994. When people said Gingrich ingended to eliminate social programs, his answer was “We intend to eliminate the need.”

The Democrats found “we intend to eliminate the need” extremely offensive. They need need to keep themselvs in power. It’s a dangerous political co-dependency.

I could pick apart each and every point the dumb author is making on how this win was a mistake for the democrats, but I don’t want to damage any more brain cells by reading his drivel.

LOL

Nothing much will change from the White House

Trump will continue to govern the same he and all other presidents govern with a congress hostile to their agenda.

and therefor didn’t require house approval.

Obligated us in the Paris climate accord, for the sole purpose of disadvantaging the USA.

Trump will continue his presidency in the same vein as Clinton/Obama
Internationally, he hasn’t required much interaction from Congress and will likely continue to issue executive orders on the domestic agenda.

There really wasn’t a plan for major legislation in the next two years, and he will have to accept congress will absolutely not approve any nominations during the same period.

Everyone will continue to carp about the other side, as has been the hallmark of this Great Nation for the last 250 years.

There ain’t going to be coalition of 61 votes in opposition to the veto pen.

Sohhhh….Ain’t nothing changing except the whining.

Onward to 2028

May the best ideas win…

The Democrats are like the dog chasing the postal truck.

They caught up to the truck and stopped it.

Now we get a lot of barking for two years.

Hopefully the wars get ended in the Middle East and Ukraine and Republican primary candidates in 2028 get off to a fresh start.

Simply put, I have every confidence Democrats will eff it up.

They will take this win as a mandate for their policies (even though none of them run on any) other than simply anger about the current admins actions and policies, particularly the war with Iran.

As such they will launch all kinds of investigations and vindictive nonsense.. will attempt to push through things no one wants..

We’ve seen this movie before, it was the Biden years...

So, while yesterday was disappointing, its a marathon not a sprint...

So if Democrats were to succeed in impeaching and removing Donald Trump, they would have handed the White House to JD Vance.

~~~
They have already thought of this.
That is why they have already been pre-framing Vance as also being culpable in the offenses that they are ascribing to Trump.
The sad fact is that the democrats, or at least the shadowy intelligentsia behind the democrats, are very good at game strategic war-gaming out their scenarios. They admitted this during the covid coup.
I’m not saying that the premise of the article is wrong. Vance would become the Presidential “incumbent” which could help him moreso than being the VP incumbent, but they are going to go after him hard, and they already have it planned out.
It's s nice hope but the blow out for the Democrats was so huge that I think the neo Bolsheviks of the Democrat party are going to go full on one man, one vote one time to consolidate power for a perpetual majority.
When we think or know we are going to lose, we look for silver linings and that is what is going on. And that is what is happening here.
One of the big issues IMO, is the muslimm infiltration of our country and thereby, government.
This is the New Democratic Party, with a near CA type super majority. I live in Sacramento and see all the insane crap that is passed without any pushback from the republicans, because they can’t. They have no power. This lunatic left is ready to do whatever it takes to make the right miserable. It is gonna be lawfare on a level we have never seen before. Because they have the mandate. Then, god help us all if they get more seats in the senate AND the presidency in 28. The left isn’t ball-less like our side is. They are gonna push push push and they know they won’t get any pushback from our side.
They’ve become so consumed with Donald Trump, so determined to defeat him at any cost, that I question whether they’ve given much thought to what happens after the election.
Bingo winner
I love the “we’re winning by losing arguments.” However, I preferred winning.
The new Democrat governors will inflict the misery on their citizens.
The House and Senate will just jump up and down and bark a lot.
And the big democrat wave when Obama won and drunk with power they rammed Obamacare through. Socialized healthcare. Which everyone hates.
Who thinks yesterday’s election was because voters really wanted more of that?
It was because Trump ran against forever wars, and then started one.
It was because the independents trusted Republicans more on the economy two years ago and nothing has changed for the better in their daily lives.
It was because people are pissed off. And the Republicans were the only bums they throw out.
