Iranian officials gloat as US voters deal blow to Trump

Nov 4 (Reuters) - Iran's government savoured the stinging rebuke delivered to Donald Trump in the midterm elections, declaring voters had rejected the war launched by the US president even as Tehran remained on high alert for the possibility of renewed strikes. "Conscience or the cost of living, Americans said NO TO WAR, and ‌we endorse this message," Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Iran's chief negotiator, posted on X, adding that Washington should not ignore public opinion by attacking his country again.

Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said in a written statement that US hostility would persist regardless of which party was in power, warning against "even the slightest inclination towards submission" to the US. "The US sees the end of its hegemony as distant; we see it as near," he added. OLD FOES Democrats captured majorities in both the Senate and House in Tuesday's election, with victories in Republican strongholds underscoring deep frustration with Trump's stewardship of the economy and his decision to launch a war that drove up gas prices.

Yes. And you know who else will pay for this election even more than maga!?

The Christians in Iran and all of the moderate Muslims who hate the radical clerics.

The Iranians, the Chinese and likely the Russians are siding with the democRATs because of their similar ideologies.

The Iranians are evil, but not stupid. They could see this coming, and they will wait Trump out. President AOC will reward them generously in ‘28.

Iran sacrificed Trump’s last 2 years, and possibly many years of despair for the nation. I hope the Iranian war was worth it?

LOL! Yeah. Why don’t Iran’s “leaders” stand for elections and see how that goes for them.

The vote that people made will kill Americans, and other innocents, for years to come. When the real war comes, and it will, and it’s an environmental and human catastrophe, remember this was brought to you by democrats. Just like they brought you the mullahs under Jimmy Carter.

The reason the stock market is up over 1000 points today is because people are sure this means the end of the war, and oil prices will go down. Today oil is down $7+.

A change in the control of congress is not a direct link to the assumptions people have, as they will soon find out.

If Trump is going to do what it takes to defeat the IRGC, he needs to do it before January 3, J.D.Vance’s opinion, notwithstanding. Or will he see the election results as a mandate against the war? When democrats take control, they will do whatever it takes to see that he has no power to touch Iran.

Iran was moving toward a nuclear weapon either now or in the next few years to come and the US was their target.

So who is better to deal with - a non-nuclear Iran or a nuclear Iran who has already shown they have missiles that can reach Europe ?

AND the Commies got more House seats with the gerrymandered districts. :-(

At least the crazy socialist Prop 40 didn’t pass. The one glimmer of light in a dark dark election.

“Iran was moving toward a nuclear weapon either now or in the next few years to come and the US was their target.”

That’s why it was a question. I don’t know what Trump knows about Iran. It may have been worth it, but the cost in the long run is yet to be seen. The DSA doesn’t just have a nose in the tent, they have a seat at the table.

If you followed Iran over the years, they vowed to destroy the US so they can destroy Israel without interference.

Those are cold hard facts, they have openly stated this, this is their goal.
