Brazilian Senator Flávio Bolsonaro has left the country for the United States after losing Sunday's presidential election and refusing to comply with a Supreme Court order to hand over his passports, two sources said.
The U.S. Embassy in Brazil did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Bolsonaro's lawyer also declined to comment.
Flávio's departure for the United States threatens to deepen a rift between the two most populous nations in the Americas. Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has accused Washington of colluding with the Bolsonaros to put them back in power, and Reuters reported ahead of Sunday's election on a U.S. State Department campaign to restore them to office.

What was the justification for demanding he turn over his passports? “Losing” an election is not a crime. Oh wait, this is one of the left wing paradise countries. Well, then, of course it is a crime to dare to challenge the commies but what are they calling the crime?
His escape may make an interesting story. A treetop run all the way to the ocean, then skim the water to international waters, perhaps? Maybe a couple US F-16’s just happened to be in the area (international waters) for further escort? Who knows?
Ah, he may have zipped to Argentina 1st, tho’ authorities there deny it?
Lose an election and you have to flee. What a pathetic country. Newsflash to the citizens you don’t just switch parties once tyranny sets in.
Considering what America is going to become next Tuesday is he sure he wants to come here
I agree, look at what they are promising to do here, they want to jail Barron Trump, BARRON, seriously what the hell did that kid do..so yeah, they want us ALL in gulags for even voting for Trump in 2024

He might have entered illegally and authorities might not know.
Yikes look at the stress on that chair. The woman had better look out for shrapnel.
He didn’t lose. He got robbed.
Brazil needs another military coup.
Lula “won” (by cheating?) and now the younger Bolsonaro has to flee to the USA!
I have been to Brazil, and have worked with Brazilian researchers (one who has always supported Lula). Lula is 81, so is quite old to serve as a president (in his fourth term!).
Brazil is potentially a great country, and does not need an old, corrupt leftist politician as her leader. I hope for better things for Brazil—the sooner the better!
Or a yoinkening...
Some years ago, I asked a Brazilian if the military would get back into the coup business. He thought that the generals had no appetite for that.
you are mighty sure of yourself.
