What The Latest ‘No Kings’ No Show Told Me: A lot of angry old liberals who don’t have a lot of enthusiasm going into November.

In Torrance, California, a large and influential suburb of Los Angeles, the No Kings protests have shown up with frequent vengeance.

From June 14, 2025, to the current election season, registered Democrats, wokesters, progressive leftists, democratic socialists, the full-blown socialists, and the racialist ethno-nationalists have shown up in large numbers to tell the world how much they hate Trump.

They love setting up along the main thoroughfare of the city, standing in front of Torrance City Hall, holding up their banners, calling the president all kinds of evil. Speakers from the main liberal, left-wing, progressive, Berniecrat (you get the idea) clubs throughout the South Bay rally in the main plaza outside of City Hall, urging everyone to vote.

Since last year, the Torrance No Kings protests have been a significant hallmark, gauging the growing resolve of this moment. The numbers of angry protests have rivaled the Black Lives Matter demonstrations and the opposition to COVID-19 health mandates from 2020 to 2021.

Most of the conservative political commentary reviewing the No Kings movement has mocked their self-righteous hypocrisy. These protesters call President Trump a king, but they said nothing when Barack Obama bragged about his phone and pen, and that he was not afraid to use them. They lavished slavish praise on Michelle Obama when she dressed to the nines for White House engagements: “Bow down to the Queen!” they laughed. Of course, they had no problem with senile Joe Biden’s health mandates and repeated efforts to use taxpayer dollars to pay off student loan debt, plus his repeated refusal to secure our border from millions of illegal migrants.

Yet they slam Trump as a wily, overbearing monarch. Of course there’s nothing serious about these protests. If the United States labored under the tyranny of an absolute monarch, they wouldn’t be allowed to protest him in the first place!

The last No Kings protest on October 17th, 2026, in front of Torrance City Hall had all the markings of a big bust. No Kings turned into a No Show. There was even another planned protest in nearby Hermosa Beach, according to some ads, but one of the protesters in Torrance told me she hadn’t heard about it.

WHAT THE AUTHOR OBSERVED:

Walking up and down Torrance Blvd. on that Saturday morning, instead of the ten thousand progressive militants (mostly old hippies who missed the memo that the country has long moved past the 1960s), I saw a mere scattering of old woke white liberals standing still and sullen.

How is Torrance, California influential? A few TV shows were filmed there. I guess — in the minds of California people — that makes it an "influential" place.

The no kings thing is so ridiculous. The rats are all about control. Everything from the car you are allowed to drive to what kind of stove you can use and have but they call Trump a King and a Fascist when he is bringing back the choice.

There’s an aspect of the “No Kings” branding that is pure genius.

The sane people see that and say “yeah, good, we tossed George III out 250 years ago, and we’ve been king free since then. What are you talking about?”

The libtards, however, understand the messaging, even though it is utterly without foundation. It seems to boil down to “The elected President, whom I don’t like, is doing the things that he campaigned on and was elected to do, within the confines of the law and the Constitution.”

It’s the insanity that is the perfect defense. The conservative movement always wanted to engage their opponents with reason. Today’s progressives, and their liberal puppets don’t give any quarter to reason. For them, it’s all about power.

The time is comeing that we’ll have to stop laughing at these evil people, and harden our hearts for what is certainly coming.

The No Kings thing fizzled because we don’t have a King and they know it. It ended up sounding stupid.
In Virginia, the Republicans responded with “No Queens” in a reference to Abdolf Spanburger.

To the flush power of your toilet, the strength of your shower, how you dispose of simple refuse, the garden and lawn tools you use, your pets, and on and on. And Im not even including the important things like your rights, free speech, freedom to associate and worship, etc

The pattern in the Early vote is everywhere: THE BLACK VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS IS CRATERING. Foundational black Americans are fed up with the Democrats great replacement strategy.

Yes, I happened to drive by one here in NH. There were maybe ten Blue haired old hippies. Average age was 75. Their Subarus were all parked on the curb.

The theme is clever, but like so much else of what they left has protested in the last 10 years, it was always an excuse.

Yes, there may have been some true activists amongst them, particularly on some of the civil rights protests, but even those protests got highjacked by leftist radicals and anarchists.

The hypocrisy is that all of these very same people has, and have had, ZERO PROBLEMS when any democrats get out of control, and rule by fiat. In fact, they seem to embrace it and make excuses for it.

All of these NGOs and “movements” have one thing in common. To be disruptive, and they are always disruptive in a PARTISAN WAY.

There is ZERO intellectual and philosophical integrity with these groups. I’ve talked to a few of them in the past. They are just like the media pseudo-intellectuals and suburban democrats in the fact that if Trump is for it, they are automatically and knee-jerk against it. It doesn’t matter if they and their democrat overlords were FOR the same things in the past.

The impetus is purely partisan.
