Elon Musk has reportedly invested $1 billion in Skydance, weeks after Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Skydance’s merger closed.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

MTV will be sold most likely, and HBO too.

Just eliminating DEI and leftist BS from the movies would increase the bottom line substantially.

The biggest liberal meltdown of all time will be if Elon Musk somehow gets control or has a say so on how CNN operates, the liberals will throw a tantrum that make everything else seem like child’s play.

I don’t know why Musk is doing this. Its like putting money into the buggy whip industry back in 1900. Old Hollywood is dead. The old studios destroyed themselves so even buying the IP isn’t worth it. Who wants Star Trek or the DC superhero franchise these days? They are so degraded in value. What you are buying is an old system that doesn’t work to make money anymore and a huge, built in cost structure that you have to fight to overcome. Even “art” movies cost $100 million. In 20 years they all will be gone.

Turn CNN into what Fox News used to be, not the watered-down version we have now and see how many heads explode on the left.

Think bigger. Skydance creates content. Elon owns a global content distribution network. He also plans to build AI data centers n space and that’s how future content will be generated. CNN is down in the noise of this deal.

“I don’t know why Musk is doing this. Its like putting money into the buggy whip industry back in 1900.”

Larry Ellison is behind the Skydance purchase. Elon is helping him, like Larry helped him with Twitter purchase.

“The old studios destroyed themselves so even buying the IP isn’t worth it. “

There are probably many old movies that can be re-released and make a ton of money—or be put on paid streaming sites like Amazon—or X.com

"The company starts with about $80 billion in debt."
Must be a California business model that my Business Economics class didn't cover.
